I like this. Only thing i would say is to let the eras overlap.

Golden Age: 1971 - 1984 (this brings Christy and Ginger into the late golden age)

VCR: 1982 - 1992

Mega: 1990 - 2000

Gonzo: where it is

DVD: 2002 - 2009

Internet: where it is

The modern era you could probably start a couple years ealier. i.e. the beginning of 4K.

I imagine this is going to kind of be like asking "what is the golden age of standup comedy" or "what is the golden age of football?" It all depends on what you value from the industry and when you were in your prime (youthful) viewing years.

Up until a few months ago, I probably would have said 1995 - 2005. I do believe that the talent pool of stars was a lot better then. But it was also the file sharing era as well. Which left a lot to be desired. Now you have great viewing options and variety of porn, at the touch of your fingers... so I'll got current era.
