Did K2S drop their speed for free users? Because I was getting at least 40-50 kb/s as free but now getting around 30 kb/s.

Out of interest, could you (and any other member reading this) try this small file (47.02mb) hosted on Rapidshare, and report back here your experience.

I really think our staff needs to know the deal here: was this host easy to download from? What speed were you getting? Did you have any problem solving the captcha?

The other day I finally was able to completely download something them as a free user. It took over 2 hours to download a file of 250mbs. I noticed the download speed increased when it was half way downloaded.

I D/L from K2S only if the file size is about 400mb. Anything bigger doesn't D/L fully. Speed is low @ about 30-40kb.

I thinks it also depends on the country. I cant D/L anything from Ul...apparently it is blocked in India it seems.

RG is slow @ 40-50kb but its steady, not many corrupt files even if they are about 1000mb.
Ryushare, Bitshare, LS & DF are really good for me.

I got a tutorial manual from RS the other day, 6.5MB and it took 2-3 minutes.. now imo something that size should of taken about 30 seconds or less. I guess they are still paranoid.

Definitely one of the worst hosters I've ever used. Biggest issue would have to be the lack of download consistency. I have honestly never had one finish...they always drop halfway through - if they even make it that far.

K2S sucks.

For differend forums K2S have differend speed. For Planetsuzy is 50 kb/s
