Don't give up so quickly: stick with it even if it means proceeding by baby steps.

This reminds me and while it doesn't piss me off it does strike me as very odd. I recently watched Birds of Prey with Margot Robbie starring and reprising her role as Harley Quinn and with Ewan McGregor cast as the villain there was decent acting talent to tap. However; I learned later that the director filmed it to 'subvert the male gaze' by de-sexualizing the female cast members with the most unusual choice of wardrobe and camera angles I've ever seen in film. Mary Elizabeth Winstead suffered from this the most; until I looked the movie up and recognized her I thought she was a he. So with nothing pretty to look at male or female and as good as the acting was it's just not enough to carry an hour and half long movie ...and I couldn't even watch it a second time without falling asleep.

It is very demotivating when your skills are rusty and you are nostalgic about what you used to do and it seems that you can't match what your memory thinks you did. Go back to basics and try to find the enjoyment that you used to have in just creating without criticism.

I'm starting to feel towards my therapist how I felt towards Amazon customer service that no matter how many different ways I attempt to describe/explain the same thing I'm not being heard or understood.
My frustration is bordering towards being pissed off...

Their whole job is to listen and help you deal with things that are bothering you. Start by telling them how you feel about that.

I'm a red-blooded meat eater, but industrial concentration camps for animals (coupled with food fraud) really make me mad.

One word...
Glitter. I hate that shit. My sister-in-law sent me a card about their kid's birthday in a few weeks and hell if that damn card didn't have glitter on it. Now I keep finding that shit all over the place. |
