“Honestly, I love it, that’s why,” he said. “I’ve got 26 years in the business and all these injuries, but WrestleMania has become so huge, it’s just hard to walk away from it. I want the audience leaving the stadium going ‘Wow!’ It’s a responsibility I have being a top dog in this business. The crowd will let me know when it’s time to leave. They haven’t yet."
Ego, just like HHH, Michaels etc etc Thinking about now, rather than the future of the business. If he'd laid down for Punk at WM, Punk could have gone into SCSA territory. |

Cena's the glass ceiling nobody will ever break until the guy leaves. Knowing that, Punk would stay number 2 forever. It's what Edge said when Christian turned heel. Would you rather be the number 1 heel or the number 2 babyface? Also, Punk himself prefers being a heel, and he became the best heel he could've been. |

Thoughts on Smackdown
1.) Daniel Bryan starts the show, coming to the ring, with nothing but a very positive response! Bryan acted very calm, said that if you asked him if he would be world champion when he debuted in WWE, D-Bryan would say "Yes." If you asked him that he would've lost the title in 18 seconds? No. Win the tag team titles with anyone in the roster? Yes. Team up with Kane, spend 9 months with that guy? No. With that said, Bryan wanted to bring Kane out, and it seems like an intervention between both guys. Bryan brought up the fact that he could win the tag team championships, with someone else. Basically, trying to kill it softly, that he won't team with Kane anymore. Bryan was warming up to the idea of him and Randall as tag team champions. He said MY name of Team RK-No. Kane disagreed with all this, and Bryan of course thinks Kane called him the weak link. Oh no, Kane got him going. He said that Kane will sit and see Bryan and Randall do something that he and Kane never did. Not saying anything, but it's obviously implying that they beat The Shield. Furthermore, Bryan implied, and then got asked to be explicit. YES, Kane is the weak link, according to Bryan. Kane got a choke on Bryan, but Randall had to come and say not to touch Bryan. He needs his partner at 100%. Bryan didn't take too kindly to Randall wanting to save Bryan. Kane wanted to leave, Bryan said Kane always runs away. It's breaking down, and The Shield are on the tron, laughing it off. Dean Ambrose got to talking about how that every super team put together, has not defeated The Shield. So, do they finally believe? They should, let's talk about animals. The Hounds of Justice, three dogs. Okay, on the opposing side, a viper, a goat, and a....Kane! Obviously they can't be united. Especially when Randall and Kane do not listen to Daniel Bryan. They should. 2.) Sheamus ready for his match with Antonio Cesaro, but Damien Sandow interrupted with a promo on the stage. He said his opponent speaks 5 languages, referencing Cesaro, and Sheamus could barely speak one. He said that at the Payback Kickoff, he will play host to Sheamus' "Irish wake." Cole clarified that Sheamus actually not only speaks English, but Galic. The match between these two was great. Somehow though, Sheamus got blood from near his right shoulder. Anyways, Cesaro impressed, yet again. He did the spinning chinlock done on Sin Cara, on Sheamus. That's even more telling of the man's strength. As well as some Samoan Drop looking move. They talked a lot about Zeb Colter, as he was on the WWE App during the match and further indicating an alliance between him and Cesaro. So Cesaro impresses, Sheamus? He was Sheamus. His Brogue Kick did come more suddenly, after getting charged into the corner. No set up or anything. I think it would've been more telling if Colter got involved in this match, such as distracting Sheamus. After the match, Sheamus is on the stage posing, and got jumped by Sandow from behind. Shortly after, Sheam-O got back up, and since on the go home, he's down, that means he's winning on Sunday. Not like that's surprising. 3.) After showing a Bray Wyatt vignette, followed by the awesome CM Punk video that aired in Main Event. Man, I wish this main evented the show. It won't, sadly. After that, teddy Long was on the phone, talking to someone and plugging the fucking Hardee's bacon cheeseburger. As he was about to eat it, he's interrupted by Ziggler and crew. Ziggler doesn't like the booked tag team match, and said he's the face of Smackdown, it's his show and such. They leave, Long's about to eat the sandwich, but Big E. Langston acting like a total G! He jacked Long for that burger and ate it. Like a boss! It was pretty funny, even though Long sold it as being close to crying. You've got to be kidding me. It's a cheeseburger, you work for a multimillion dollar company. Buy another one dammit. 4.) Cole provided a brief update of Booker T. He said he will be back, can you dig that, sucka? After that little update is Great Khali and Heath Slater. It's the shocker of the century! My goodness. You'd think that McIntyre and Mahal bullying Hornswoggle would indicate Khali winning. No, Slater took advantage of Khali's distraction, chopping the man down and using a DDT. Yeah, a simple DDT was the finish, but the fact Slater won is just surprising. Khali does lose here and there, but to Slater?! Good, the match wasn't, but at least the winner sort of made up for it. 5.) So this is Ziggler's first match back as World Heavyweight Champion, and he comes back in such familiar territory. He loses! Yes, vintage Ziggler. The tag team match was pretty good, Ziggler showing no ring rust, and no decline in his overselling. AJ got involved a bit by striking Jericho in the middle of the match. That black widow man. Ziggler was the last man standing when things broke down. He directed attention at the legal man, Dolph Ziggler. Del Rio cradled the guy up, and 'Berto wins. God dammit! At the very least, this just means Ziggler will get the win on Sunday. Unless this concussion spelled the swift end of Ziggler's world title reign, and they just wanted Del Rio to win it in an actual match. Oh boy, I hope not. Ziggler's the world champion for crying out loud, world champions should win. It's that simple, they're on top of the mountain. If Ziggler was to lose on Payback, that makes Del Rio's win weak. After all, 6.) Why is Kaitlyn wearing clothes that accentuate her big breasts? Why am I asking. Anyways, she was seen backstage making her way to the ring. After the break, interview with Jericho from Renee Young. Final comments for the battle for the Best in the World crown. Jericho's no stranger to Chicago, in the Allstate Arena where he debuted in WWE in his promo with the Rock. Hyping the match, you don't want to miss it. You can't miss Paul Heyman though as he popped up and talked about Punk's "luck is for losers" line. Yeah, Jericho referenced as that. Heyman was saying what the ring announcer would say. The winner of the match, and the Best in the World, Jericho then shoved the mic right onto the kisser of Paul Heyman! Jericho said "Pipebomb!" Hell yeah, aw this match should be great. 7.) Can you believe that they recapped a Divas segment? The one from RAW where AJ Lee fucked with Kaitlyn's emotions. I loved that, seeing women break down turns me on . Interesting Divas match here. The bell didn't ring, so it wasn't official, but Kaitlyn flipped burgers and beat on Aksana big time, and even struck at the ref. Once the two made it to the outside of the ring, the ref tried to break this up, and Kaitlyn slapped the ref! That made me pop. Wow, great stuff. Now that I think about it, this spells AJ winning the Divas title. It is rather too soon for Kaitlyn to suddenly snap out of it. However, I think a good compromise would be for her to get herself disqualified. Then the rematch will have AJ win. Either way, this is definitely the most interesting Divas match this year, so far. 8.) WWE's suffering from the concussion bug! First Ziggler, then Fandango, and now Tamina. That's right, she got concussed in a match with Natalya taped for this week's WWE Superstars. It's crazy man, sad too. It's not like WWE did anything to cause it. However, this would probably tell them to try hard to prevent this. Such as banning shots to the head. Anyways, Curtis Axel has a match with Wade Barrett and Wade suggested that they don't wrestle. His business proposition to Heyman, which Axel and him agreed upon. Miz however interrupted and got the fans to chant "Fight," keeping this match scheduled. The match was short though and obviously with Miz there, he got involved. Axel came to hit Barrett, but the guy avoided that and Miz took it instead. Barrett then took his time to enter the ring after getting Axel in a disadvantage. Wade took too long to make it into the ring, and being too distracted with a hurt Miz, got Axel's neckbreaker while he just entered the ring. Axel pinned him. Yep, and to spell more doom for Wade's title reign, Miz would come out on top by hitting Skull Crushing Finale on Axel. Wade just was outside, watching. It's basically watching two guys who have a better chance at winning then him. Sad, but true. To make matters worse, Payback takes place in Father's Day. Yeah, so Axel could win the title, in tribute to his father. 9.) Team Hell RK-No vs. The Shield. Oh boy. Oh man. Oh damn. Okay, one has to wonder how this match would go. Go home show to Payback, Ambrose and Reigns/Rollins are the favorites to win in their respective matches this Sunday. That's established, but having a 6 man tag so close to that event, what would happen? Another Shield win? The match was great, really nothing surprising given the 6 men involved and the fact they squared off before in a 6 man weeks ago. So there's the familiarity. You're accustomed now to seeing Daniel Bryan having a burst of dominance, you're accustomed now to Bryan's responses in arenas to be tremendous and persuasive in that he should be a face. One knows all this, one is used to it, but what happens when something new happens? Something completely new that it feels so surreal? Add onto the fact that this is Smackdown. It's not RAW, it's not live or anything. Pile on everything that's familiar and established, good in the end, but something new? What is the only new thing to happen here? The Shield losing! In a 6 man tag team match, so new, so fresh, it's surreal. The lead up was just fantastic. You could tell the tide turning tremendously when Kane avoided the Spear into the barricade. Now how did he avoid it? Who got speared by Reigns the most since The Shield's run? Kane. Kane then took it upon himself to chokeslam Dean Ambrose onto Reigns. Why? Ambrose is a guy that sticks to anything, you have to really make sure he's eliminated full way, no half assing. So that just leaves Seth Rollins. He was able to buckle powerbomb Daniel Bryan, and was closing in with a high flying move, but Kane, shoved him off the top turnbuckle, into an RKO, followed by the No Lock from the legal man in Daniel Bryan. Nowhere to go, nobody to help, Rollins had to tap out and history is made. June 14, 2013 (taped June 11), I have to try and remember it. The Shield finally loses. It's something I couldn't be sad about. Especially when they've dominated so much that the company now had to put dents in this perfect train. That came with singles losses, though few and far between. The meat of this group is the 6 man. Strictly speaking on that, they're a perfect train. All trains got to stop somewhere and I'm so happy it was stopped by Daniel Bryan. Kane and Randall included, but who got the final move in? Daniel Bryan, the place erupts, Lilian announces that for the first time ever, The Shield wins, Cole marks out, JBL is astounded, Bryan is the happiest man in the world. It's beautiful, and for a show like Smackdown, where these truly memorable moments, don't happen so often, this is one unique gem. It wasn't RAW, it wasn't on PPV. So the surprise is even stronger. For the first time now, The Shield's in a real generated disadvantage heading into the PPV. Question marks now ensue, but they will be dashed, because now they have to win. It's not just another day in the office. Yeah commentary said payback will come to the Shield on Sunday. Turn that around though, the Shield will dish out payback, and redeem themselves. They're now where Apollo Creed was in Rocky. Stunned in the war, he has to turn to corner. Unlike the ending of that movie, there will be a winner. Even without the finish, this match would just go down as yet another Shield win, yet another great match. The memory this match left has made this stronger, and I know at the end of the year, they will go back and show this. I guess it would fall under an "Oh my God" moment. Oh my goodness, D-Bryan's face closing the show was beautiful. Oh and let's not forget that it was not John Cena, the Superman to vanquish this Legion of Doom. Nah, it was Kane, it was Randall, it was Bryan. Daniel Bryan is the man! |

Triple post . The original Fandango dancer has finally been revealed. A 20 year old college student who doesn't even know the company's name!

I bet she could not even pronounce Fandango's name right. |

She's a better dancer than Summer Rae, no doubt about that but Summer Rae can provide the occasional distraction as a heel valet. I hope they call her back at least once in a while.

Dancing originally may of had something to do with it but Fandango obviously can't dance so may as well give a diva something to do rather than Andrea who knows feck all and clearly isn't interested by wrestling.
Heymans reaction to the microphone in that gif is just so fake it's funny. |

This week's JBL & Cole show featured Dolph Ziggler doing a different kind of job...
Cole and JBL were outside a building that honored "ACC" champions, east coast college sport athletes. They showed past and present guys with college sport backgrounds: present guys in Swagger, Ziggler, and Lesnar. Then inside there's Renee Young talking with Titus O'Neil. To show the man's age, which is 35 or something, his college football days date back to the mid-90s! Last week on the show, Cody Rhodes challenged JBL to a "gentlemen's duel," and Layfield was hoping Cody forgot. Nope. The challenge is still on... |

I was disappointed when Bo Dallas won the NXT title. There are much more deserving guys on NXT but because they came from the indie scene or they don't have a gen line or aren't built like Ryback or Big E then they aren't pushed.
