That seemed a lot like the Rousey-Holm fight, except it was shorter and with less kicking. I think it's time for Ronda to walk away. Either that or she'll need to drastically overhaul her striking defense because what she's doing ain't working against a top-end striker.

And lastly, but certainly not least, is that Nunes is a beast.

I told my friend that Amanda's going to break my heart... That was not the case. Very sad for Ronda, but she will be more then fine.

It's Amanda's time now. Don't see either Pena or Shevchenko defeating her. Maybe Holly if she win her title fight.

Cruz was beast. Best analyst ever, one of the greatest fighters ever. Cody - TJ will be insane, pre-fight and event.

Well I never thought I'd feel sorry for Rousey but I did - big time. Still don't like her but she just looked so pathetic it was embarrasing. I'll put money on her retiring.

Apart from that the main card was pretty stunning. Dillashaw looked spectacular and Garbrandt even more so. Can't wait to see them square up. Dillashaw's bad blood with the Alpha Male camp should spice it up nicely.

Still have to watch the 207 prelims which will keep me entertained until the next event - BJ Penn v Yair Rodriguez. It will be interesting to see if BJ still has anything left in the tank - I fear not as his last performance was really pathetic.

Agreed about BJ Penn. He was great in his younger years but his last fight looked totally worn out, slow to react and gasping for breath after the first round...If I recall things correctly.

He (BJ Penn) should stay retired and not hurt his legacy.

And yeah Rhonda Lousey is done, at least in the ring and like some one else said she'll be fine making money in the movies by ruining them with her Ugly mug.
I just hope she doesn't become some TV fight commentator, it would be the same as Phil Simms, suck at it.

Since you floated the idea, I'll point out that part of the new ownership happens to be Ronda's agency so nepotism can be on the table. Still not sure she'd want to but if she does, and there's no favoritism, it probably won't be for Fox since they've got Miesha already but I could see ESPN making a play since I think they only have Chael as an MMA analyst.

Yeah he wasn't in shape - but he also adopted the weirdest fighting stance I've ever seen. On the feet he was all up on the tip of his toes as shown in the pic below

As a result Frankie Edgar took him to the ground at will, and just beat him up to get the stoppage. He also wasn't able to take any offensive action off his back - what used to be one of his strong points.

If Rousey does retire I don't see her making it in the movies. While not bad looking she's a bit of a brute and won't make it on sex appeal alone. IMO her current movie career is based purely on her celebrity as an MMA fighter. If she retires as a two time loser most of that celebrity will evaporate. One - maybe two b-grade action movies if she's lucky and then it's all gone.

I also doubt she would be hired as a fight commentator. Her credibility as an "expert" at this point in time is pretty low, and besides she's just far too prickly and individual.

Some interesting stats on fighters pay at UFC 207

Ronda Rousey made three million dollars for 48 seconds of work. Unfortunately for her, it wasn't exactly the 48 seconds of work she was hoping for. Rousey made the lion's share of the UFC 207 salary, but there was still some money to go around for other fighters as well. Seven fighters overall made more than 100 grand, and only one fighter made less than 20 grand.

The total purse was $,683,000. The below numbers are via the Nevada State Athletic Commission, and are only the public reported salaries. Performance bonuses and whatever else fighters receive from the promotion (locker room bonuses, PPV money, etc) are not included here:
