The outage on that date was due to reconfiguration of servers and other VB problems that occurred during that reconfig.

I hear you, but I do not hear you posting a link to the message issued by staff that states that on our last outage we have been subject to such an attack.

Are you going to post it or not?

We were not subject to any attack during the last outage on Oct 1. It was all due to reconfiguration of the servers to stop database problems and to actually improve performance of the forums.

This is the first DDoS attack on the network that I am aware of in quite some time.

As Jenny writes there has been some problems the last few days.

The forums has been on and off, now its mostly on.

It has been possible to post now and then but many times with errors, which sometimes leads to doubleposts or even 3 of the same kind.
It takes staff very long time to clean that out, also because our checking system has been on and off.

If you go to the PATM standard section, you can see the postings times throughout the last days, sometimes several hours break.

We hope that the last syntax errors, pase errors will be dealth with soon, so we are back to normal.

We are sorry for any inconvinience but was out of our hands. People are working hard to get things going again and you will be informed, as we get the informations.
