Brock tested positive for same drug Jones got busted for, a testosterone enhancer. Good luck spinning their way out of that one, they probably will both get the 2 years from Nevada. Maybe Jones comes back, Brock won't. No WWE response to 2nd positive yet. And yeah, Hunt should get some bank. The loss is pretty much gone at this point with the in-competition positive. Could Nevada force part of Lesnar's purse to Hunt? Not aware of a precedent either way. |

Lesnar still has to got through the review process, but I agree - he'a probably toast.

Also of note is that apparently Mark Hunt changed his demands to the UFC. Initially he asked for half of lesnars purse or to be released from his contract. He has now dropped the release from contract element and asked for Lesnars entire purse. On another subject entirely - I've just finished watching EBI 7 (Eddie Bravo Invitational 7), which featured the featherweights class. Excellent all around and much better than EBI 6. I won't talk about the results in case any of you have it lined up to watch, but just say the action was fast and furious with some great submissions. Some of the best matches were actually the "special matches" featuring up and coming juniors with the likes of Cora Sek and Grace Gundrum. So if you like fast paced submission only BJJ, it's well worth searching out a download. I've got Metamoris 7 lined up for viewing tonight, should be good but I don't exepect it to be quite as exciting as EBI. |

IMO the aura Lesnar built has been kicked down a notch. Apparently he took a bunch of other tests though and they were all clean. Perhaps because he had so many tests he thought they would give him a break and turned out incorrect.

Anyone catch Dana speaking at last night Republican Convention? Normally it not my choice of programing but Dana talking politics on live nation wide tv. Something I just had to see. You know how he is at them UFC pressers with little or no filter. I mean what could possibly go wrong here. He did come out all jacked up, literally yelling into the micro phone like there was not one even there. I was just waiting for him to go off the rails and drop a F bomb or 2 but he stayed composed or as composed one could be all wired on red bulls.

Just read an analysis of Holm x Shevchenko by Connor Ruebusch on Bloody Elbow.
He makes a pretty compelling case that the fight has a good chance of sucking, but the card has a few cool fights I wanna watch. Barboza vs Melendez, always down for a Barboza fight, even against an over the hill cheater. Barboza by KO, Melendez showed a crappy chin against Pettis and tired (ok ok, altitude) after the first round against Alvarez. Saenz vs Wineland, both guys are game and push forward, should be good. Wineland took some time off but I think he'll lose a decision. Alex Oliveira and Francis Ngannou's fights that I might put some money in just to make them more interesting to me. |
