This. Yes. This would not penalise FJ at all and yet would make the file at least downloadable to those with FJ issues. The proliferation of posts with only a single FJ link and no mirrors is getting out of control.

FJ + FB or
FJ + K2S or
FJ + Zippy or
FJ + Tezfiles

should be the minimum requirement if uploaders insist on using FJ. FJ as the only option should be banned. At this point FJ is neck and neck with Rapidshare as the equal least preferred downloading option. I won't be holding my breath for any change though.

To be honest, I wouldn't even bother trying to download a 5GB file in a single download from any free host. The chance of completing that successfully are so slim it's not worth the wait. As you say, even if successful, it's likely to take days if not interrupted and you know it won't resume if it is interrupted.

Today FJ are not allowing free downloads. I've tried using three computers, three operating systems and three browsers. Same result. Premium downloads only.

Does this not break the rules of the site?

These weren't the only links I tried, just the ones still in my clipboard. As far as I can tell, fj has disabled all free downloads.
