If I could change something it would have to do with searching, search parameters, search results. Though this change would probably require a different database or whatever the program is that runs this site.

There is another site let's call it pornxx and at pornxx not only can you search for exact phrases (exact names) all of the results are returned as the posts, instead of just links; posts with of course screencaps and everything. I can power through search results.

I do a lot of searches and on Suzy I have to right click every link of all the results here without any idea if that is what I am looking for or a file I want, opening hundreds of posts; hundreds!! I have a bit of a system here but it is still a pain.

Search Results returned as the entire posts instead of links to the post would be a great change. (I won't hold my breath)

There are a number of different forum software providers out there and what you reference depends on the forum software used. phpBB, SMF, XenForo, and vBulletin are just a few examples.

They all have pros and cons and which provider is used depends on any number of requirements including hardware configuration of the forum itself. Any plugins used in one type of forum software are not compatible with other types of forum software. There may not even be plugins available in another type of forum software that will provide the function you need.

Upgrading the software that is currently being used by a forum is the preferred option as switching providers can be extremely problematic.

Is it my imagination or was there once a thread (or was it even maybe threads) that users used to submit dead links?

And if there was, were there any reward involved with it?

Forum searches consume significant server resources. Many simultaneous searches will slow the forum for everyone, so we require a 20 second waiting period between searches.

I would see to it that a post with constructive criticism in a controversial thread like this can't simply be removed because you don't like the answer. Life is not all rainbows and unicorns after all.

It might be a good idea to have a checks and balances in sections as well by not having any section run by a single staff member...
