Main Event was shat this week. Kane against Antonio Cesaro. It really needs to be pointed out that Cesaro was yodeling and it was rather creepy. Feels like a backstage joke suppose to make him seem more interesting when in fact he looks like an idiot. Bryan was on commentary and did a good job. One show of strength by Cesaro and that was basically it for highlights. AJ tried to interrupt but Bryan got in the way of her casual skipping. Cesaro ended up jobbing to Kane, idk, why bother. Cesaro HAS now officially turned into a joke, especially with the yodeling.

Reason: yodeling!!
Boring ass re-caps take up a goodhalf of the show.. Naomi and Cameron accompanied by the newly named Tons of Funk v The Bellas accompanied by Rhodes Scholars. Sandow says the Bellas have class and then they come out and shake their asses? Geewhizz. You know for the first person eliminated off Tough Enough, Cameron seems alright but Naomi is the best in ring. Not digging her make up though, looks abit trashy. Bellas get a sneaky win, guess they had to since they only recently came back. |

Late thoughts on Main Event
1.) YES! Daniel Bryan on commentary. In what is the weirdest promo in a while, Antonio Cesaro put over his Swiss culture, by yodeling. Well history lesson from Cole on where yodeling came from. Bryan owned Miz on commentary after Miz said "Ply" instead of "ploy." He said Miz's language skills is as good as his wrestling skills. Oh snap, then the retort on Miz's statement of him being Bryan's pro at NXT, was just that Miz didn't teach him anything. An actually good match between Cesaro and Kane. Cesaro's strength sure was proven here when he was able to dead lift Kane and do a gut wrench suplex. He yodeled throughout the match for some reason, while commentary with Bryan was fun. AJ Lee came out to attempt to cost Kane the match with distraction, but Bryan came to yell "No" to her. The distraction almost cost Kane the match, but in the end, Cesaro fell to the chokeslam. From "No" to "Yes" when Bryan, Kane, and fans chanted that towards AJ. Commentary kept putting over Big E. Langston as the wildcard in this match. It makes sense because most fans have not seen the guy wrestle, therefore the story of him being unknown in the ring, is fine. What's even better though, is redemption. Screw Cena's redemption, what about Bryan's? Losing the World Heavyweight Championship in 18 seconds thanks to AJ. This time, Bryan should win, with AJ's distraction not costing him. 2.) After recaps of Swagger/Del Rio, and Hunter's promo and kicking Barrett in the nuts, Miz mentioned on commentary his IC title match against Wade. Then came a Sheamus interview. Yeah he takes his sheep coming out of his arse comment from SmackDown, and said if he, Randall, and Show pull together on one night against The Shield, the heels are going down. 3.) Tons of Funk, that's the official name for Clay and Tensai, announced by the Funkadactyls. Damien Sandow suggested that Clay and Tensai have tons of something, and that's saturated fat. Divas tag match between the Bellas and Funkadactyls. Well, The Bella Twins haven't really improved since they last wrestled. In fact, what would happen when below average wrestlers at best, have rust? They suck, and Bellas did just that. One of them didn't get in the right position for Naomi's hurricanrana. Some of their moves didn't have a good impact to them, and worst of all, the finishing pin. Naomi got distracted by slapping Cody Rhodes around, and a Bella took advantage with an attempted schoolboy pin. It wasn't done right and turned into a messy looking standard pin. Once again, Naomi shined the most, but overall, this gives a negative look on their coming Wrestlemania mixed tag match. One just has to hope for the males to get a lot of ring time. 4.) To close out Main Event, the final half of the closing segment from RAW. It started with Booker T's turn in asking the question. They couldn't show this in its entirety unless they scrapped the divas tag match. |

Update from Charlotte TV news reporter Jamie Boll: Reid Fliehr was found dead in a hotel room in Charlotte, as confirmed by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. The area was SouthPark, which is a high-end shopping mall in Charlotte. *** Reid Fliehr, the youngest son of Ric Flair, has reportedly died at the age of 24. The immediate cause of death is believed to be an overdose. Earlier this week, Reid was added to Big Time Wrestling's weekend tour headlined by his father, Ric Flair. BTW posted Wednesday on Facebook: "Added to Hagerstown, Md. on Friday and Altoona, Pa. on Saturday is the son of the Nature Boy, Reid Flair. Reid returns to Big Time Wrestling after a successful tour of Japan." Reid had been training in Japan for the All-Japan promotion over the last two months. According to Puroresu Spirit, Reid's last match was on March 17 before he returned home to the U.S. Spirit reports that Reid was "doing fine" while in Japan, so Reid's death does not appear to be directly related to his time spent in Japan. Reid had a troubled past, including an arrest for heroin possession nearly four years ago in April 2009. |

I wonder how the man himself is dealing with this. It's been said a couple times in places, that a parent should never outlive their child. Flair's gone through the financial troubles, the divorces (I think one still in the process), and now health problems with a blood clot. Immediately I thought of this individual as trying to live up to his father's legacy, and this road took a drastic turn in the form of drugs (heroin possession). Things seemed fine until just now, and an overdose indicates drugs again.
It's very sad indeed, may he rest in peace. |

I thought Reid had turned his life around. I don't recall him getting into trouble after working in Lucha Libre USA.
Seven Churches, do you have this week's NXT?
