Thoughts on SmackDown. JBL's back!
1.) MizTV opens the show, Sheamus and Randall are guests. Who will join the Celtic Vipers. Randall said Big Show should join, Sheamus is still hesitant on him. Sheamus said he doesn't trust Show, but Randall said he doesn't trust anyone (but he trusts Sheamus, right?) Randall explained the whole, devil you know, devil you don't know line. So Miz brings Big Show out. Big Show explained that he doesn't like Randall and Sheamus, but they have to work together. Sheamus claimed Show can tuck his tail and run in the match at Wrestlemania, but Show stuck it to Sheamus by saying he didn't tuck his tail and run when he beat Sheamus for the world title. True that, but both guys are arguing. Of all people, Randall Orton plays peacemaker. Oh, so to show how The Shield has addled him, or just being too much of a face. Even Miz called Randall out on being a peacemaker, it was rather out of character. At least, Sheamus and Show have most recently feuded, so it does make sense a bit in the end. Hall of Fame inductee and General Manager, Booker T, interrupted and booked Show, Sheamus and Randall in a 6 man tag match. Who will they face? Booker didn't say. Decent opening segment, one little funny was Big Show saying he dated girls bigger than Miz! 2.) Mark Henry beat Zack Ryder in less than a minute. No exaggeration there. He gave Zack Ryder a total of 3 World's Strongest Slams, one in the match, two after it. The Ryback would come to the ring, and there's the staredown. Henry did not back down, said he doesn't fear him, The Ryback ain't nothing. So he runs at The Ryback, only to get a clothesline from the neanderthal. Damn. Henry rolled out of the ring after that, and that's it. 3.) It was weird for Teddy Long to work with Vickie in booking The Ryback vs. Mark Henry, as that itself was a random and thrown together ploy to set up that match. Booker was confused on this too, and said Teddy works FOR him. Yes, he's Booker's assistant. However, Teddy asked that doesn't he work WITH Booker? Uhh, no. HA, after the Hall of Fame video on Booker T, JBL suggested he goes in as King Booker. Bringing to mind good memories of him on commentary during Booker's World Heavyweight Championship reign. Queen of Sheeba, Sharmell! 4.) AJ Lee joining on commentary? Interesting. Also interesting was her sitting Indian style on the commentary booth, in front of JBL. AJ claimed that she wakes up in a cold sweat in thinking she almost married Daniel Bryan's beard! She also said she's going to have Ziggler's babies. AJ's commentary was what made this match worth seeing again...just days later. However, this match featured a nice Namedropper (stop calling it the Fameasser, Cole) at the outside of the ring, which happened after Kingston was celebrating his crossbody onto Big E. Langston. Big E exacted his revenge after the match when he gave Kingston the Big Ending. Ziggler wins again! So what is it now, 5 match streak? AJ's laugh when the match ended, was awesome. 5.) Recap of Jericho and Fandango, which makes me think more of these two going at it at Wrestlemania. Recap of Undertaker and Punk. I wonder, do the fans in attendance watch the recaps? If so, wouldn't they be bored at this trend? It sure cuts away at the wrestling time for them. Backstage segment with Randall playing peacemaker again. It's too strange. Another recap played on Swagger's hot streak on RAW. After that, Swagger and Zeb with the promo. The attack on Ricardo should serve as a wake up call for everyone who disagrees, including Chris Jericho. No immigrant talk here, short and sweet. 6.) It's official, not by WWE though. Just by me, it's Fandango vs. Jericho at Wrestlemania. After a pretty good rematch from last week between Jericho and Swagger, Fandango interrupted. Talking about the fans in attendance again, they had to have seen this interference a mile away when his stage entrance from RAW was used on SD. Jericho was distracted by the entrance, and Swagger almost took advantage of it for the win. Later though, Fandango kicked Jericho in the face when he was about to hit the Lionsault. Ref was distracted with Colter. Swagger took advantage for the win this time. Fandango finished the job with a leg drop from the top rope. Having seen Johnny Curtis before, that finisher is not new, maybe it is to a lot of fans who didn't watch NXT. It's a good finisher, JBL loved it. Fandango got the mic and said to get his damn name right. Fandango was Fandangry. JBL said Fandango was "Fandangoing!" That's funny. 7.) After that, Big Show with Striker. It sounded like every single sentence Show said, had the word "trust" in it. On the topic of whether he can work cohesively with the Celtic Vipers. Then, freaking Rock/Cena main event preview video. Jesus, this is the 6th time this aired. Twice on RAW, twice on Main Event, twice on SD now. Enough already. Maybe this is some subliminal message that would get you to anticipate Rock's return this Monday, just so he says something new, and Cena does something important on RAW. 8.) Rhodes Scholars with the Bella Twins in the ring. They got a special gift for the fans. That's them presenting the Bella Twins, the class of the Divas division. Right. The comedy from JBL didn't end, as he said during this tag team match involving them and Tensai/Clay, that Bull Nakano wanted Tensai's hot item? I don't know exactly what he said, it definitely sounded strange. This match didn't last long as chaos ensued when the Bellas fought with Cameron and Naomi. Then those tag teams fought outside in the ring, and the match got thrown out. Well I smell an 8 person mixed tag team coming. When would be a good question. 9.) Backstage interview with the Celtic Vipers. Sheamus did the talking, similar to Big Show, echoing the word "trust" a lot. 10.) It's Miz vs. Cesaro VII (estimate), with Wade Barrett on commentary. Ugh, the logic is sad. Miz beats Cesaro with the Figure Four, too damn quickly after just drop kicking the knee and locking it in for only a couple seconds. However, in the past couple matches, it definitely took a while for Cesaro to be in the hold before he'd actually get out of the damn hold. The match overall was short too, so when their last match together was a nice 2/3 falls, a good place to end, now their most recent match is this, and it's not as good, and even irritating. Crimes are being committed against Antonio Cesaro, it's an injustice. The closing RAW segment recap didn't help make things better, it aired after this. If HHH were to lose, he'd relish in the fact he'd get a retirement segment just like Flair and HBK in the past. 11.) So who are the 3 guys to wrestle Show, Sheamus, and Randall? 3MB! Yes, they are in the main event, of a TV show. There was a little pair of moments where Sheamus did Show's frying pan chops to the corner, and Show did Sheamus' 10 chest blows against the ropes. Seemingly the three worked as a cohesive unit, until Sheamus took it upon himself to blind tag Big Show at the same time he knocks out a member of 3MB. Sheamus basically stole the win. Sheamus and Show were arguing over this, Randall played peacemaker again, only to get shoved by Show. Vintage Randall was about to break out, pushing Show back, but in comes The Shield. The guys in the ring hushed up their hissy fits and stood united. The Shield didn't enter the ring, hesitant and all, and the unlikely trio stands tall to end SmackDown. So I wonder though if they will go full fledged face turn for Show, or he turns on them to give Shield the win at Wrestlemania. There's a part of me that doesn't feel Show will turn full face, and that this is more of a strange bedfellows thing. If anything, Show would knock Randall and Sheamus out after the win, then The Shield takes out their frustration from losing, right away, on Sheamus and Randall. Show bailed by that time, and it's basically corpses for The Shield to rape... |

Maybe the plan is for UT to murder him in their match and Punk take some time off to heal from the injuries UT is gonna give him. He can come back fresh and maybe with a different angle/character?

So if Punk does take time off then I doubt he is beating Undertaker, not that I gave him much of a chance anyway. These main events are too predictable for my liking so they better deliver on quality apart from Cena and Rock, i'm expecting that to suck but as long as Cena wins, which he will, then that is ok.

If ut streak will ever end it will be next year as I expect ut would see a round number 30 a perfect time to retire.
What is the point if he's 22 or 25-0, he will not be around to see 30-0. It would also be a perfect time to induct ut with or without bearer/kane into hof, so do the flair thing where he has to win or retire. |

30-0? Wouldn't that mean 9 more Wrestlemanias? He's actually going to turn 48 at the end of this month. At 30-0, he'd be close to 60. As for the HOF, how about inducting Paul Bearer and Undertaker next year? Same class, as Paul once said in an interview that he'd rather be inducted at the same class as Undertaker. Plus being that it will take place at New Orleans, and Bearer's from the South (Alabama to be exact), it would fit. Also 'Taker being from Texas (if you count that state as Southern). If he were to lose against CM Punk, it would be interesting if Punk were to induct Undertaker. The guy that ended the Streak honors Undertaker the next year.

Bearer was probably set to induct him but now it'll probably be Vince, after all he takes the credit for the creation of the gimmick.
