I don't understand those either. But, I'm not a Rams fan so I don't know if there's some underlying story there or not.

I could see that. Teams were running on the Ravens defense for most of the season. Hell, even the anemic Cowboys run game put up 227 yards on them.

With the 9'ers big OL, Frank Gore, Collin Kaepernick and LaMichael James, they should be able to put close to 200 yards on them on the ground.

Seems like our very own Chris Culliver decided to open his mouth and say something dumb this week.

Comments made by 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver made it clear he would not welcome a gay teammate.

"I don't do the gay guys. I don't do that," Culliver told Artie Lange on his radio show Tuesday, via Yahoo! Sports, when asked if a gay teammate would be welcomed.

Culliver was asked if there were any gay players on the 49ers.

"We don't have any gay guys on the team," Culliver said. "They gotta get up outta here if they do. Can't be with that sweet stuff."

If a player was gay, Culliver suggested the player should keep that fact to himself.

"Yeah, come out 10 years later after that," Culliver said.

The 49ers weren't amused. They quickly released a statement Wednesday afternoon: "The San Francisco 49ers reject the comments that were made yesterday, and have addressed the matter with Chris. There is no place for discrimination within our organization at any level. We have and always will proudly support the LGBT community."

He later issued a public apology. Seems like more of a PR cleanup by the 49ers brass. I'm sure they had a nice little sit-down with Culliver. I mean Culliver can feel what he feels, but he has to remember that as an NFL player he is always under the microscope. The NFL controls your life and hates bad press more than anything. I don't necessarily agree with his perspective of the entire matter, but regardless he needs to watch what he says in a public setting, especially since he plays for San Francisco of all teams. I remember when Garrison Hearst made similar comments ten years ago and that caught fire too.

^ stuff like this really bothers me personally, go figure right! All I will say is that I live as a passable woman every second of my personal life but as a male at work due to the fact that I would be fired instantly from a very good job if my employer found out. I hear anti-LBGT shit everyday at work. Everyone can think what they like but they need to realize that in the USA 4.8% of the population self-identifies as LGBT. That's damn near 1 in 20. I can guarantee that every single person with a job interacts with a member of the "community" everyday. Most of you will never find out who we are because of the fear that is incited in us everyday by those who feel the need to make statements like this, NFL player or worse a co-worker. Every Superbowl for about the past fifteen years, I watched with my younger brother. We always watch at his house, get hammered and eat pizza. He's a Bears man, I'm a Giants man, but I'm one of those football fans that likes all the teams. That being said, I will be rooting for the 9ers.
