Thoughts on NXT.
1.) Dusty and Bo were yucking it up in regards to Bo's momentum since winning the Rumble tournament. Cory Graves came in, as he was ordered to return the NXT Championship that he stole from Big E. Langston. Dusty proposed a 3 way match between Dallas, Graves, and O'Brian for the number 1 contendership. 2.) The Battle of South Africans: Gabriel vs. Kruger. Tony Dawson: "A lariat, right?" Regal said yes, it looked more like a clothesline from Kruger to Gabriel, but ah well. Gabriel's arm was worked on for a long time by Kruger. During this, Regal said Dawson must breath through his arse, because he never stops talking. Seems accurate. Gabriel made his comeback and it meant a win. I was hoping Kassius Ohno would get in this, but no. Kruger took a crutch from Tyson Kidd and used it on Gabriel. Sore loser stuff. 3.) I was about to visit a website, as the video played. Once Emma's theme hit, I went right to the video on full screen. The reason being that Emma's dancing is funny, and her entrance in the ring was also amusing. That music is also silly counding. It seemed Aksana was the face. Strange. Emma was the more impressive of the two, obviously, having been trained by Lance Storm. It's not often a Diva uses a Cravat or whatever. Aksana though did a nice Spinebuster. Good for her, she won too. Jericho should get Emma as a dance partner. 4.) Right before the main event, Bo Dallas is shown down, treated by refs and docs. The lovely Renee Young informed that Dallas is unable to compete. 5.) Well they let this match go as a one on one bout, a very slow one because of Graves working on O'Brian's leg for most of the match. The crowd was fairly quiet, meaning the few that spoke up, were too damn loud. A woman in the front row was all "CORY!" It was annoying. Suddenly, the lights went out, and The Shield came out and crushed Graves and O'Brian. What injustice happened? I guess one on one, not the advertised triple threat. The Shield cut a promo saying about keeping your guard up, and that things will be a lot worse before they get better. There was some cheering for these three guys, not surprising. Surprising and sweet close to the show. |

I'm almost bummed that you got the chance to post some Emma gif's before I could - she's so awesome IMHO. I enjoyed her in ECCW & in SHIMMER, and that was before she added her exquisite ring-entrance-dance to her repertoire.
There's a longer gif of her struggling to get in the ring that includes her dance, so I'm adding it for the fun of it all: And IRT the Cena list from a page ago: Brutally overlooked in that list was his Last Man Standing against Umaga from a few Royal Rumbles ago. And in general, I'm not the hugest Cena fan, but it always makes me laugh that he's often subjected to the "you can't wrestle" chants even though he routinely puts on MOTYC matches - the guys had awesome matches with like a dozen different guys, so I think it's tough to agree that he "can't wrestle". |

But it is his opponents that make it good and it has nothing at all to do with Cena

If I was making a list I would have put the Umaga match in. He had a decent match with Khali as well. I don't think I have seen The Undertaker match. I don't know how I missed it. I think the fans that chant you can't wrestle at Cena are delusional. Hate is blinding them. I like the dancing girl Emma. She ticks my boxes ( big tits ) I think she and Paige will be on Raw and Smackdown soon, by soon I mean end of the year. It's probably best they are still on NXT for now. They probably wouldn't be doing anything other than take turns losing to Kaitlyn for the next six months. NXT is easy viewing. I like it. I'm still watching every week unlike smackdown. Just checked. I have seen the Undertaker match. I must have only watched it once when it was live. |

Because if if his "good matches list" includes matches with Umaga (good but far from great), Khali (awful) and RVD (not even as good as Umaga) it's hard to think that it's all on the opponents and not at all due to Cena. Unless, like you said, people are just straight up blind to what he's doing because they hate him ....... |

CM Punk can take the people's elbow and the AA. As long as The Rock takes another AA and loses. The match would be a lot better if it was a triple threat. I'd be shocked if it was changed to a triple threat now. The Undertaker looks most likely for CM Punk. I think is is even more certain because he showed up at a house show. All The Undertaker does now is point to the wrestlemania sign and does his cut your throat thing. They are killing as much time as possible with Cena putting his title shot on the line etc. In a perfect world CM Punk would beat The Undertaker. Quote:
CM Punk has really proved to be great to me because I didn't see him on the indy's like a lot of people. I just heard people talking about him. He has secured his place as a memorable guy in history. One of the best villains in WWE. I just like Cena more. The perfect Mr WWE to me. Hopefully a few years down the line he wont be doing mad shit like Hulk Hogan. |

I miss Umaga. I liked him when he was a regular on Smackdown few years ago. He was the perfect monster heel.
Some memorable moments... William Regal used to call him Umanga lol.

With that said, I'm a bit of a Cena fan, too (mostly because he's so hated by so many "smart fans", though, so not really a fan per-se). Like I said a few hours ago, I think he's often in the biggest/best matches in the WWE, each & every year ... part of it is because he's given the most chances to be in the best matches, but still, he has great matches with guys that don't normally have 'great' matches, so part of it has to be him (his selling, his timing, his comebacks, etc.) And, yeah, evilmonkey, I was a bit of an Umaga mark as well - him and Armando Estrada was an awesome pairing. Umaga was a great monster heel, for sure. There was always a part of me that wanted them to bring Rosey back in to either (i) team with Umaga or (ii) feud with him as a different Samoan monster. Those two guys as "Three Minute Warning" were a missed opportunity, IMHO. Neither were great wrestlers, but they could've been used better than they were, as a team or as individuals. |

Awwww, shit, I miss Armando Alejandro Estrada!
Umaga's missed too, I remember when reports came out he'd feud with Undertaker. It went from "when" to "if," as it never materialized. With his time cut short in life, his best match in his career was with Cena in Last Man Standing. One of the few times Cena was an underdog. As for this Cena talk, I agree. Cena's someone I feel won't get the universal respect he's earned, until he either retires, or dies. With his uncompromising character, that will never happen while he's active. It doesn't hamper his match performance, he has more of a track record of great matches than the often loved IWC favorites. One thing though, it does seem Cena is a curse amongst women in any storyline. With Eve, she was tagged with hoeski. With AJ, she would be depicted more as some sort of whore than crazy. And if he's still dating Nikki Bella, it's interesting to note that Daniel Bryan's dating the all natural one, Brie. Cena's dating the one with boob implants. |

so, with Shamus with Orton attacking 1 of the Sheild, does this mean the Shield will be ending soon? i for one am enjoying the Shield alot, i reckon someone else gets involved, there will be a 3 man tag match somewhere along the line, Shield loses and it all implodes

Main Event was awful!
Cody is now a moustache super-hero type character? He got his new logo and a chick that digs his lovestache. King talking about kissing which basically gives away that they will be. Cody will turn face and where the heck that will lead I hate to think. This is a new low for WWE focusing on facial hair. Feels like it's all Cole and King talk about every show they are on, it's getting boring. Yes, his stache is skinny, we all laughed first time we saw it, bit much to still be laughing a few months later or are they laughing for those new fangled first time viewers who would also laugh then quickly turn over and watch something else. Henry and Gabriel.. just why? Gabriel stood no chance whatsoever and I couldn't even figure out the ending and whether it was botched or not, just looked shit. Apparantly Big Show v Orton on Smackdown.. yay.. and the Fagdango debut. I'm sure it'll be mildly interesting then quickly turn into seen it all before new hatred next week. |
