ESPN.com has confirmed that TNA star Bobby Lashley will be fighting Wes Sims for his Strikeforce debut on January 30th. Sims is a former UFC veteran who most recently appeared on this past season of The Ultimate Fighter (the season with Kimbo Slice).

Last week WZ exclusively reported that Bret Hart would not be appearing on Raw, and now The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Hart is likely to return to the show this coming Monday. To add to this report, when I spoke to a source close to the situation last week, I was told that Bret WILL be returning to Raw this Monday night.

That would definitely be interesting. Conan could be a ratings grabber. Kimbo wouldn't work. And I think Ted Turner might be impossible to get, though, also a possible ratings grabber. Then again, it'll be like Bret Hart, pretty much none of the younger audience will know who they are.

James Roday will not be co-guest hosting RAW as originally scheduled tonight due to an appendectomy he underwent this past weekend. Dule Hill, Roday's partner on the USA Network show "Psych" will still be hosting the gig tonight by himself.

WWE RAW Opener: DX Confrontation/Match

DX's music hits and Shawn and Hunter both come out for tag team action. They both have mics and during the "Are You Ready?" part, Hunter stops and asks where the leprechaun is. Shawn says that he sent him home and that this is serious. He wants to know why Hunter can't understand the position he's in. He says that Hunter knows how much a match with Undertaker at WrestleMania is to him. He needs his shot to end the streak. "Is that too much to ask?" Shawn asks. Hunter says that it is too much to ask. He says that the jokes are all over...it's Rumble time. It should be everyone's goal to win the Rumble and headline Mania for a title and if it's not, they shouldn't even be here. He then says that they can go into the Rumble and throw out 28 other guys, but at the end of the day, it will come down to the two of them and if he has to step on Shawn's dream to get to him, that's exactly what he's going to do. Shawn says he understands and Legacy's music hits.

DX vs Legacy

Hunter and Rhodes start the match off. Rhodes starts off with some kicks, but Hunter turns him into a corner with some punches of his own. Rhodes tries a dropkick, but Hunter stops and Rhodes lands on his back. Hunter tries the Pedigree, but DiBiase grabs Rhodes' legs and drags him out of the ring. Cole then announces some breaking news about tonight's guest hosts and they have that information as soon as they return from break.

COMMERCIAL

Thanks to readers John Krakower and David Lee for sending in the following;

-HBK mentioned at the beginning of Raw that he had sent Hornswoggle home, but in the middle of the show during a commercial break, he came out and shot T-Shirts into the crowd out of a cannon for about 3 minutes.

-After Raw went off the air, there was no dark match main event. John Cena just stayed in the ring playing to the crowd while Sheamus and Orton made their way to the back. The fans were then thanked and the show was over.

-There was a loud "we want Bret" chant making its way through the crowd several times during the show, as most people have been expecting to see him on the show for a couple of weeks now.
