![]() A character that finally worked. A serious character. Big mean man that just beats everybody up.
Fresh beatdowns as well because he has been away for so long. sign of the times when I'm rooting for somebody like Mark Henry ![]() |

![]() I do admit I would not mind seeing Rybeck vs. Henry in say... a steel cage. Throw Ryblack into the mix for a triple threat and I'm there.

And little known fact: I actually met Matt Bloom at a "fetish fair" in Boston many years ago; he was just standing at the bar & enjoying a drink without any fanfare at all (this was when he was Albert, pre A-Train, for the WWE). I just went over & shook his hand, and said that I enjoyed his work. He bought me a beer, we chatted a minute & then I walked away. I've had a soft-spot for him ever since. |

![]() Thoughts on SmackDown, aka Big Show's birthday.
1.) Big Show was seen entering the arena, not happy with his driver. Then after the intro, he came out for a promo. Double standards, things are unacceptable, stuff being done to Show just because he's unpopular. Also, cheering 'Berto for doing criminal actions. He makes a good point with people who are popular can do what they want and fans like it. Show said Alberto was a Mexican Clint Eastwood, which I disagree. Show would blame these double standards on Booker, because he's jealous. Out comes Booker. Who gave Show his hotel information? Well, watching via satellite, Del Rio could've made out the hotel Show was in, ask the desk where Show is staying. Was the hotel, the Mariot (Woo!)? Booker booked Big Show vs. Kane. Ehhh, opening segment that set up a match, nothing new. 2.) There was a PIP promo where Rhodes mentioned the breakup with Sandow, and said a new door opens. The ascension of Rhodes to the top. I see Tye Dye Guy! This was an interesting match because it featured both guys with no direction right now. As it turns out, Rhodes got the win. He's groomed for greatness. Nice short match, and it was nice to see Rhodes win something. 3.) After commentary recapped Team Hell No's problems this week, there's a segment with Kane and D-Bryan. Kane accept Bryan's apology, but Bryan explained that Kane screwed him over because The Dazzler's in the Elimination Chamber. He suggested being in Kane's corner, giving him a psychological and image standpoint. Kane told Bryan to shut up. 4.) They showed a recap of Vince getting the F-5, something seen so many damn times since it happened. Then, recapping the MizTV segment. Then the Hall of Fame video of Bruno Sammartino. That one's fine. 5.) Josh Matthews said "future hall of famer" when Khali, Natalya, and Hornswoggle came out. JBL flipped out. Well, it can't be Hornswoggle and Khali, that'd be a travesty. After break, JBL mentioned Titus as a future hall of famer, egging Matthews on, which was funny. He also mentioned Ranjin Singh (head writer for RAW). Blah! Khali won with his deadly chop on Titus after a short one. I wasn't happy, then Mark Henry came! It was night and day. On RAW, Henry destroyed the smallest guys in WWE. On SmackDown, Henry destroyed the biggest, with a World's Strongest Slam. Henry got a mic after the commercial break, saying the Hall of Pain is open! Any questions? Titus, Khali, Rey Mystero, and Sin Cara, did not have any questions. Henry would mention Booker T not calling Mark Henry to qualify for the Elimination Chamber match, which pissed Mark off. You really can't overlook the guy, literally. Henry wanted Booker to come out and explain, or risk the whole roster getting destroyed. He then threatened to take out the current Elimination Chamber participants. Booker though booked Henry vs. Randall Orton (I was thinking Daniel Bryan) for Henry's spot in the chamber. Great promo overall by Mark Henry, intimidation and rage, nice combination. 6.) Big Show has been having these filler segments this week. First the hotel stuff with room service, then him barking orders at his tour bus guy. When Show left his bus, Del Rio was then seen, looking at the bus. Big Show's bus is going to get jacked... 7.) Kane and Show had their match: been there, done that. Kane lost, and Bryan was nowhere to be found. It just goes to show that Kane needed the world's toughest vegan after all. After that, Big Show looked at the tron, as Del Rio was outside, and paid off Show's to bus guy. Show went to his bus, and the tires were gone, then Alberto dumped orange paint on Show. That's vandalism. Even rich guys can act like common thugs. Ricardo was driving the truck Del Rio got on. Ricardo is also a hoodlum. 8.) There was a PIP promo of Jack Swagger, explaining how he's a real American. No taking handouts and not waiting around, take what he wants. Swagger's more of a real American than Hulk Hogan. Ahem, Swagger vs. Justin Gabriel. Mostly a squash match, Swagger's Gut Wrench Powerbomb made its return, followed by the Patriot Act. 9.) Fannn-dannn-goooo. That vignette aired, then there's 3MB and Tensai in the ring, then showing the dance off between him and Clay. So a bunch music/dance gimmicks in a few minutes. Interesting. Insignificant match between Tensai and McIntyre, as Mahal and Slater came. Clay though came next, and a tag team is brewing between Tensai and Clay. What if these guys take the tag titles from Team Hell No? Oh man. JBL was embarrassed to see Tensai dance, mentioning the Japanese fame Tensai achieved. Yep. 10.) Not feeling satisfied with Cesaro's match with The Ryback on RAW, Cesaro makes short work of Sin Cara, and I'm satisfied now. For the always sweet Eurocut, and selling well to do that flipping powerbomb from Cara. It's a step up after running away from The Ryback too much. 11.) Randall interviewed by Striker. Feeling confident in his match with Henry, saying he would put him back in the shelf. Hmm? After the break, Striker is now with Miz, reacting to what happened on RAW. He got interrupted by Cesaro! Typical American complaining, and Miz's retort was beating on Cesaro. The RAW rebound, skiiiiiiiiip! 12.) JBL made an error by saying Henry's a former 2 time world champion, when he held the title only once. Oh crap! I just remembered when Henry was world champion, he put Jerry Lawler through a table, and Cole said Lawler suffered from anal bleeding. That made me laugh. ANYWAYS, Randall and Henry wrestled, the face in a bit of an uphill battle, though not at the level of their match at Night of Champions 2011. Randall was primed to win, but Henry would counter quickly and get the win. So Mark's in the Elimination Chamber, sweet. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() Make Sin Cara look awesome in that gif. I'm gonna be fussy and say I really hate when they dim the lights for his single matches. It was ok the first few matches but to be still doing it is annoying. He isn't mystical or anything, it's a man in a mask, like Kane or Rey.
Swagger needs a goatface beard, if he shaves it off then it's over for him, it'll be hating time again just like that. So, Mark Henry on a destructive path. Lead to WHC glory last time. I'm glad he is doing it again. He did turn abit chicken last time though, can't remember who against but I remember being pissed about it. He better not do that again and lose all credability he'll be building. His theme should change to, PG era with break his neck as a lyric? Really? Themes should change more often. Is the music guy too lazy or something. Themes in the attitude era used to rock and they would change them often. Rock, Austin had many different variations and Undertaker too and it was cool, now themes are getting abit tiresome. I haven't seen Smackdown yet btw but felt like saying something ![]() |

![]() Oh man that is nasty and he is still smiling. We found our new Mick Foley! YES! YES! YES!
Isn't that Chris Hero? He is pretty good. Teamed with Claudio AKA Antonio Cesaro in ROH I think. I won't pretend i'm a know it all indy guy but I saw a fair bit back in about 2010 and it's good if you want some intense realistic wrestling, not 3 minute squash matches or rusty Rock. |

Anyway, who is this Fandangoo guy that they keep showing every week? I don't like him already. I am also somewhat upset with the direction WWE is taking with its tag team division. Team Rhodes Scholars is already dead. Hell No is on the verge of breaking up and the Prime Time Players are jobbing to Tensai and other faces. Where are the Usos? Primo and Epico? The Wyatt Family? It's a shame really. They have so many good tag teams but most of them are not getting enough opportunities.
