I spent Saturday night feeding my funnybone with on demand comedy and I always look forward to "American Housewife" and it rarely disappoints to make me laugh my ass off. I have always been a fan of Katy Mixon.

"Man With A Plan" is funny too even though I never really was a fan of Matt LeBlanc but really like him in this show. Liza Snyder is great in it as well.

I finished the night with 2 episodes of a new series called "LA To Las Vegas" which is a sort of watered down Airplane but has some hilarious slapstick in it. I like Kim Matula in it, she plays Ronnie, a neurotic stewardess that is hilarious and adorable.

Being a total flag waving Canadian (I have American citizenship as well) and having been involved in the Canadian film and music scene for many years I have watched some of our TV and film become world famous and high quality and some great Canadian talent groomed and in demand not just here anymore. There are some tried and tested CBC shows that are really well done like Murdoch Mysteries (a personal favorite) and many more but there is a new quality CBC original called "Burden Of Proof" with Kristin Kreuk (Beauty And The Beast) and Peter Mooney (Rookie Blue) that are among the leads in this legal drama. It is filmed in and around Selkirk Manitoba.

I won't give anything away in case you want to watch it, it is on my must see weekly list ...

I will put it on my very full to watch list.

I really like "period pieces" and "Elizabeth" with Cate Blanchett is still a favorite mostly due to Cate herself. Mmmmmm ...

Its such a great story. An 18 year old girl becomes the Queen of England overnight and all the usual political douchebags want to control her for their own purposes but don't realize this new Queen is a spitfire with her own ideas on how to run the country.

I am 1 episode into season 4 of Boardwalk Empire and my sleep time seems to be getting later each night. Season 3 sure ended with a bang.
