Favourite.. that's a laugh.
So he has been picked over IRS fatter son who I actually liked better although I can't remember his name but I guess he looked abit too rough for Vince although saying that they have Tensai.. but look where he currently is so probably for the better he didn't stay or he would be prancing about in lingerie. Now for something random.. Poor Punk. |

You're right, Alan. There's not much more I can say about Rocky. I thought he was awesome when I was a kid. I remember Mania last years. When his music hit, the crowd went fucking insane. People jumped out of their seats in a millisecond. You can find me on the taping-- I was the only guy in the building that wasn't standing during Rocky's entrance. Of course, I don't behave like your average fan at these things. I don't clap or cheer-- never been that kind of guy. At one point, the guy sitting next to me looked at me with a giant grin on his face and asked if I liked Rocky and I said "Yeah, but not enough to act like that". Most fans are just braindead. Rocky really could've made his comeback great for smarks, but he didn't. All of that 'bringing it via satellite' shit, that just killed it. And I thought it was a good match at Mania, but I just didn't feel like he was really in this. He'll stick around for a few months here, lose the title, and leave again. We all know it. And in a lot of ways, he's worse than Cena. Cena was actually pretty decent in his earlier days as a face, but people like me are sick of him because we've seen him every week for the past five years. We're sick of Rocky because he walked right in and tried to be bigger than the WWE. I'm sorry, but I'm done suckling on that teet.
As for Taker, it would suck to see him go out like this. Even if he's not great in the ring now, he could still leave with dignity. He could still pass the torch on in a symbolic way. I don't know if the streak will end, but I'd like for it to. I agree with some of you that if it has to end, it should end with the future of the company. The only problem with that is that the future of the company is uncertain. They've got hungry guys on the roster, but given Vince's antics with legends lately, these guys are aging. The really young guys aren't going to get a shot, and the hungry guys only have a few years left. I like Ziggler, but he's been in this for ten years now. He may get a good run going in five years, but Creative hates him and it's giving the fans blue balls. It's got to be somebody else. Of course, Cena won't ever give it up. He'll be hobbling around the ring giving AAs to jackets in his 70s' like Ric Flair did a few weeks back. And Punk? Punk his now in the realm of Cena. He's accomplished all he can possibly accomplish, he's highly decorated, and now he's just dead weight. I've always been a big fan but his days of fresh enthusiasm are over. Really, the WWE won't die, but Vince needs to learn how to take chances again. Wrestlemania was a huge chance in the beginning. He spent all his daddy's money to break down the territories, make wrestling into a show, and start the Superbowl of wrestling. And now, all of these years later, he's in the position to do it again and won't. He'll have to someday. He'll still be kicking like Mr. Burns, but he'll be forced to think again when his draws are dead in their graves. |

Some of the decisions the WWE makes have me scratching my head. I still get the feeling Vince wants to end the WWE and is doing a cash grab to get all he can get before the bottom drops out. They aren't looking towards next year, the year after, or 5 years down the road. Everything is a "get all you can get" cards of money matches to get PPV sales right here and right now.
Why isn't Ziggler a champ? They finally got him away from Vicki and he is with another woman (AJ) and Ryblack. ADR's face turn was horribly done. Build Rybeck up to be a monster main eventer only to have him lose all the big matches he has been in. Bring in the Rock to get a title shot in the Main Event at a PPV (Why isn't the RR the main event at the RR?) without any preliminary matches to show he deserves a title shot and have him beat the champ? Now he will appear here and there until WM when he drops the belt to his opponent and goes back to Hollywood? How does that help the WWE long term? |

Yeah and Miz's face turn was even worse. He's still playing the annoying prick character who think he's awesome but he's a face now. I don't get it.

Even when the Miz was champ I still always thought of him as a jobber. No one takes Miz seriously except him. He is the only one that thinks he is awesome (and maybe a few guys in the back behind the curtain).

It was soawful that I did not recognizw his turn. Was it from his couple days as an anouncer? I am still not used to hearing Cole as a likable announcer.

What is left a champion that will not stick to taking on all challengers? UT whom we know is nearing the end. Dolph is not going to be champion because his time to "cash in the bag" will end without Vikki. I just think with p"eople's right to freedom," the entertainment is hiring anybody to wrestle.

The worst part about the Rock being back is they're not giving anyone the rub with him. When he was a heel in '02 and '03 I thought he helped Hurricane and Christian get over more.
I don't see a problem with the future of the WWE. Ten years ago I don't think many people saw Cena and Orton as being faces of the WWE throughtout various points of their careers. Ten years ago the WWE still had Triple H, Angle, Lesnar, and Taker. The WWE right now, like the past couple of years, is like the WWE of the early 2000s where they'd elevate a couple of guys (Angle, Jericho, Lesnar) to supplement the main guys. The WWE has always been great at cultivating stars. They don't have a lot of great young talent in their 20s, but they don't need them at the moment. All of their top main guys are in the their early to mid 30s. They won't be in crisis mode until three years from now, and by then they would have already established their next youngish face of the company, whether it be someone already on their roster (Rhodes are any of the recent FCW callups), someone from FCW, or someone who is not in the company yet.
