I wouldn't quit watching and I wouldn't be pissed off if The Undertaker lost. burtog makes his point about old guys putting younger guys over and that is true as well.

I've made my point about having no faith in WWE to capatlisie on somebody ending the streak so I don't think they should ever do it. If they do then fair enough. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

it always comes up every year around this time. Other forums I used to post on as well. on one side the people that think it should end ''I hate The Undertaker, I hate his stupid fucking hat. I wish he would just piss off already. Time for him to lose at Wrestlemania'' then you have the Undertaker diehards on the other side giving their 100000 reasons why the streak must not end.

I just can't buy into the "it's his legacy" argument; if someone as great as Andre the Giant can allow Hogan to slam him, pin him cleanly and cement himself (Hogan) as "the man", then the Undertaker can let someone go over him.

I personally don't think they're going to let someone beat Taker because they're afraid that that person will quit the WWE before they want him to (a la Batista, Lesnar, even Rocky) and thus they'll lose out on their investment. The fact that Punk has implied that he's not going to wrestle for that much longer is a reason for them to NOT put him over Taker @ Mania. But there are easily a handful of guys that would be made in one night if they were given that privilege, or (and I know that they won't ever do this) it'd cement the best-heel-turn-of-all-heel-turns if they let Cena beat him.

With all that said, though, I totally agree with Kellerman: they'll find a way to fuck it up even if they do put someone over Taker.

I agree, they should let a new guy beat the streak, but which of the new guys are going to last that long in the WWE? I do Not see Any new wrestler that could beat UT, and even less of a chance to make a career to last more than 1-month.
I just do not see Dolph because he is about to lose his case thing for not cashing it within 1 year.The Funkasaurus is not steam-rolling over weaker wrestlers, Lord tensai is in the same "sinking boat." All big guys, but no wins.

Since we are on the subject of The Undertaker. I guess this is old news, but since the time is coming

As we noted earlier this week in the PWInsider Elite section, the word making the rounds at WWE TV this week was that plans for Wrestlemania may need to be altered pending a decision on whether The Undertaker will wrestle on the show.

Undertaker had given word he would be working the PPV several months back and there had been plans in place for a CM Punk storyline leading into the PPV.

The story making the rounds the last few days was that Undertaker's physical well being was being called into question and it was no longer fully confirmed he would be working the show.

This won't be the first time that WWE has been back and forth on whether Taker would work the biggest show of the year. In the past, he always came through and worked. We'll see soon enough whether he does or not. If he doesn't, there will need to be some plans tweaked

El Generico passed his physicals.

Rami Sebei, best known as El Generico, passed his physicals and has signed a developmental contract with WWE.

He will start in Tampa in February. Generico has been one of the top wrestlers on the independent scene for years, headlining major shows this past year with ROH and the Japanese DDT promotion.

WWE has been interested in him since June, but the hold-up was the TNA lawsuit against WWE since Generico had worked two dark matches with TNA and thus would not sign anyone until the lawsuit was in the process of being settled.

If the UT was the one that offered to end his streak to help a new guy get over then that would be ok. For Vince to take his streak away as a quick shock thing to sell tickets then that would suck.

UT was like Andre... larger then life guy who should have had the belt almost all the time but was so popular he didn't need the belt to get over with the fans. He rarely got to wear a championship belt and if he did win it he didn't have it for very long.

I remember that . I came across a nice youtube comment there, yes posting youtube comments again, but I can't argue with any of it.

And two year after, he made an entire promo for the PG/G Era. This guy is just pure WWE product, no soul anymore. The true WWE/F fans know what I'm saying, they grew up with the attitude era and they already know that the Rock is not the Rock anymore. He is a sell-out wannabe rock right now. He is like a samoan John Cena, making poop and penis jokes. This is just plain ridiculous.

When I see The Rock in the ring, all I see is a movie star now playing a WWE character.

1997 is a long time ago, when he became a heel and The Rock character started, he was so good. Then obviously he just got bigger and bigger and bigger. Bigger than the WWF.

in 2002 the people started booing because they knew he wasn't now this 100% behind the WWF cause wrestler,, he was becoming a movie star. He lost to Lesnar and then he left.

Sure enough he came back and his heel character then was great because he wasn't away that long. That was 2003, then again in 2004 to team with Foley at Wrestlemania.

so it's 9-10 years ago now. I have moved on, life has moved on. I should be happy he is back, but I'm not really, I'm not upset either, he is still the man in many ways. He is still going to pull people in because he Is The Rock, but when he goes, those people might have gone away. I will still be watching and still be pissed off.

I'm beyond the point of saying sort it WWE, because I've been so used to them coasting along for so long. I know the best days as a WWE fan are definitely behind me, and I just have to try and enjoy today as much as I can.
