Memorial Day

I personally like to think it is a memorial day to remember ALL those
who gave their lives for freedom and for us all now to live in a free world.

I had 2 family members die in World War One (in France) and one that
died in World War Two (a pilot for the RAF). They were fighting for a
cause on the Allied side and they were all from Portugal.
A little country which did not have much to do with the European conflict,
but they fought for a cause and for a much better world for their families.

Who here had family members who had died in WW1 and WW2 ,
and those persons were not even from America?

So, from whatever country you are from , I salute those who have served
and those who have died for a cause.

We shall not forget you.

When I said "fighting for a cause", I meant fighting for a just cause
for a democratic and free society in the world.


About the pictures...
I am aware of alot of things from WW1 and WW2. Alot of
crazy military stuff is inside my brain

I do believe those photos are of idiot Nazi commandos who are
being shot by a U.S. firing squad some time in 1944.
They were Nazi commandos captured while they were wearing American uniforms.
This happened during the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944.
The Germans had a large group of their commandos who got hold of
American forces equipment and uniforms and decided to attack the
Allies. This event caused alot of panic around the allied front lines for
some time, as many allied soldiers did not know if another soldier was German or American.
But the Nazi plan went wrong and they were all captured.
They were given a military trial and sentenced to be shot by firing squad.
I have no remorse or pity for their death.
