@JustKelli. Yeah, unfortunately some f'cking kids of those parents decided that they won't take good advice that their parents gave them and got themselves in a sh*tload of trouble. Sometimes parents do have good advice to offer because they happen to have already been through the grinder that life happens to be. You'll see it yourself someday.

People that discount what I have to say when they happen to know my age as a generalization is what pisses me off too.

This "OK boomer" response for everything my generation happens to express does not apply to everyone my age. I agree that some are idiots who have lost the ability to adapt and think for themselves, but I know quite a number that are not like that. My stepmom happens to be 83, and is totally fine with a same sex marriage. Don't put everyone in the same group based on age.

Once again I'm right there with you ... Know-it-alls also piss me off and so are One-uppers. You know the kind: You have an experience and theirs is one better than yours or you had a tragic event and theirs is just one more tragic event worse than yours.
