I don't remember seeing that ref before tonight. How much you want to bet he gets "fired" next Monday?

Thoughts on RAW.
1.) Paul Heyman is the Cult of Personaity? Noting the "controversial" ending to the Night of Champions main event, Heyman talked to ref Chad Patton (who got Brogue Kicked by Sheamus). With WWE, there are some Cs in their stuff: "Conspiracy," and "Controversy." It's either those in their storylines. There was fan video apparently that showed both shoulders to be on the ground, apparently Cena had it initially taken down. HAHA! There's a kid that had a sign that said "Cena Sucks" with a picture. Wow, he interrupted Heyman. Oh Cena was fine with the ref, has different perspective of respect than Punk and Heyman. Paul Heyman said he's the "voice of the voice of the voiceless!" That sounded so funny. Cena wanted to go against Punk again even though he had a swollen ankle. Of course. Del Rio of all people interrupted Cena, he thinks he should get a rematch with Cena. Michael Cole must like the word "controversial," because he now referred to AJ as that. AJ interrupted, in short skirt, looking good. She's better wet. AJ took a page from Teddy Long and booked a tag team match playa. Paul Heyman wanted to talk to AJ, as she skipped along. I thought Heyman was going to skip! 2.) Michael Cole was shown to be wearing a "Long live the King" shirt. That's great, but boy, tattoo on his left arm, so goddy. Jerry Lawler's back home in Memphis, and they are going to interview him next week? Ohhhhh, that could lead to CM Punk interrupting and them playing their storyline again. A Texan (transplant to NYC) and an Oklahoman joined Michael Cole on commentary. 3.) Chicanos vs. Ricans, it was fast paced stuff. It went to commercial break, but still felt short. Commentary mentioned Rey and Cara being undefeated, and that means they could challenge Team Friendship? Then suddenly, Primetime Players spoiled the celebration of Rey and Cara. That's nice! They are funny with the dancing, but serious is good too, especially when dominating a beloved face team. Titus was very angry on the mic, but Darren Young repeated a statement from Titus. So strangely enough, Titus was the better talker. Interesting. 4.) MizTV? JR updated of Kaitlyn having "torn tendons" in her ankle. Ok. JBL was now addressing "conspiracy." It was funny, and he and Layla spent the match arguing. That took over the actual Divas action, which was short and uneventful. Eve beat Beth Phoenix by the rollup of doom. 5.) Antonio Cesaro joined on commentary for the Brodus Clay and Heath Slater match. Oh Cameron did come back, she probably bribed someone to get back on TV, I don't know. Clay went over Slater, easy. Cesaro said "embarrassment" in 5 languages. 6.) Miz said "controversial!" There needs to be a drinking game to every mention of "conspiracy" and "controversy" in WWE TV, especially RAW. Miz didn't let Booker talk, he just kept talking, which was funny. Miz accused Booker of missing the spotlight, and fans chanted "boring." JBL said he couldn't agree more (I disagree), even though he put over Miz big time at Night of Champions. Booker got the mic, and basically called for The Ryback. Dr. Shelby should've tended to The Ryback, he was throwing chairs and couches around. Ah shit, and then JBL said for someone to sedate The Ryback. Uh? Still, The Ryback as IC champion isn't pleasant. 7.) Josh Matthews interrupted Heyman and Punk. Disrespectful. 8.) Dolph Ziggler beat Santino, definitively. Choosing to do two ZigZags, and look mean. Fans gave him a big pop. At least Ziggler can go over someone below him, such as Santino. Ziggler did that Jericho pin move where just a foot is on his opponent, and he poses. He didn't say "Come on baby!" That'd be funny. 9.) Did the fans actually chant "We want Nexus?" I don't. Not so much of a squash as Justin Gabriel got some offense in, including a top rope springboard moonsault. Of course Barrett would win, working on the ribs, sampling the product. 10.) Oh some plug for Subway, their birthday or whatever, Jared's there. Air Jimmy were part of it, but would leave. In comes Damien Sandow, and fans popped for him, and got a meatball marinara thing. Then Ryder came, got an Italian thinger. Then The Ryback came and said "feed me more." He took TWO subway footlongs. That's it? Psh, he doesn't eat a lot. Daniel Bryan would've made that segment great. 11.) John Cena and Sheamus chatting it up, Sheamus is happy and confident, Cena, not so much. Then after that, "I'm the tag team champions!" What's funny, Kane's actually a 12 time tag team champion! That's insane, and Edge had 14. Kane's on his way. There was then footage of Jerry Lawler arriving in Memphis, WWE private plane, the doctor who revived him was there, and a limo. Good for him. 12.) The tag team title rematch had a bit more wrestling than NOC. So that's a plus, the dysfunction of the team was still there of course. Cole had a good line where he said Bryan caused the fire (hanging Kane's neck on the top rope, R-Truth taking advantage) and then him putting the fire out (breaking the pin up). Bryan then tagged himself in and did the No Lock for the win. After some funny argument, they hugged it out, but Bryan took one of the championships from Kane. Fun match, if they build Rey/Cara and Team Friendship to the next PPV, that means one on one matches, including Rey and Bryan. I really want to see how that would turn out. PTP's interruption will likely lead to a match with the Chicanos for the number one contendership. 13.) Randall vs. Tensai again? "Let's go Randy," "Randy sucks?" I thought I heard that, interesting. JBL has made references to Mexican wrestling promotions AAA and CMLL for Rey and Sin Cara. For Tensai, mentioning New Japan Pro Wrestling, that was nice, you wouldn't hear WWE acknowledge any of those promotions. Other than that, this was already done on SmackDown days before. Same result, Randall wins. Only thing special was the RKO coming out differently than normal. I figured that Ziggler would come from behind, attack Randall's back, since he seemed to be selling a back problem in the match. 14.) Del Rio and Otunga interrupted Punk and Heyman. 303 days as WWE Champion, and it's so funny because that streak started when Punk defeated Alberto Del Rio at Survivor Series. Heyman reminded of that. Funny stuff, the superstars exchanged their talk via whispering to their respective right hand men. 15.) The Season of Sloth, Summer vacation, is over. Sandow's happy for that. "Slobberknocker" isn't a word? It is to me dammit. Sandow shared words such as "tamarity" and "miscreants" with fans doing the "what" treatment. Out comes Zack Ryder, impromptu match. I know it. When Cole mentioned "big words," JBL really went into Cole. Tamarity isn't really a "big" word, so he has a good point. Sandow and Ryder had an actually competitive match, I think the most competitive in Sandow's career, and strongest performance. Seeing as how he's never been pinned, it looked like Ryder would win. However, nope, and Sandow got a bit of an impactful win. The wrestling was decent. 16.) Alberto Del Rio reminds JBL of somebody, that's funny. Punk seems to be doing a gimmick where he just stays in the middle of the ring, posing with the championship, making fans wait. It was done on NOC, doing it again here. Earlier in the match, Cena had Punk on his shoulders, and then Punk happened to escape. Commentary thought it was a thumb to the eye, which might be true, one thing's for sure, Cena sported some shiner or something. Anyways, "super" main event? I don't know what that means, but it was a good tag team match. Sheamus especially did most of the work, of course with Cena's swollen ankle. The thing though, Cena didn't seem to be hurt, he no-sells legit injuries! Hehe. There was "controversy," or just a bad call. Ref counted Punk's shoulders to the mat, even though Punk's foot was on the ropes. RAW closed with Punk complaining to the referee. I thought something more explosive such as a kick to the head. Speaking of kick to the head, Punk's kick to Cena's head in countering the 5 Knuckle Shuffle set up, was countered by Cena, turning into the STF. That was really good. Quote:

I think the need a dictionary. So they can say "using his patented move" properly I wonder if they really know the definition of that word? Nobody else could use it; although the name changes. I only see Heyman to represent everybody so he can always sue the WWE.:He lost a lot of money when Brock left, again. Maybe he will talk Bo Jackson into fighting someone, so they both can make money.

I think the Brock Lesnar quitting thing is just an excuse to keep him off tv. IIRC, his contract was for very limited appearances. They're saving up those appearances for right around the main PPV's, i.e. Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Survivor Series and Royal Rumble. Although, Hell in a Cell and TLC seem to be as big or bigger than Survivor Series lately.
I expect to see him make a couple appearances leading up to one of the PPV's before the end of the year to build up heat, then at the PPV and then he'll disappear for awhile again. Rinse and repeat until his contract is up or the fans stop falling for it.

wwe.com does it again. Remember how they put a story out early about Daniel Bryan returning at summerslam 2010. Everybody probably figured Daniel Bryan would return to be in team Cena instead of the Miz, but just the fact that it was spoiled because somebody fucked up. Doh.

I'd like to see Sheamus vs Barrett or against Randy Orton. I would like to see Dolph finally get serious about cashing in the Money in the Bank on Sheamus. That angle hasn't even been teased lately. I do not want to see Sheamus vs Big Show.
