So they make a IWGP Women's title and give the match less than 7 minutes on the biggest card they have? That's like early AEW Women's division bad. Gedo probably added in the Mercedes Mone(fka Sasha Banks) debut time for the schedule.

Speaking of one of the worst kept secrets in wrestling, now we have a name. Makes sense she went back to Mercedes, she used it before and it's her real first name. The surname feels gimmicky but it is a tie-in with the character work she's done for the last 8 years while in WWE.

Other Wrestle Kingdom thoughts to come after I actually watch it, maybe. I've been bad on posting lately.

Not one of their better shows from what I saw. Quick, fairly average by NJPW standards matches with botches, leaving only the last two matches worth seeing. Sasha was underwhelming. Maybe not knowing would have made the difference but she still botched and the mic audio was crap.

I did skip through some of those other matches as I wasn't willing to waste time and viewing fatigue on the under card. I don't think there should be any 7 star ratings but with Dave the Lizard who knows.

JAY BRISCOE PASSES AWAY AT 38

Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH for over 20 years, from the first show until today. Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, reigning as champions to this day. We'll do whatever we can to support his family.

Pugh was only 38 years old.

Known to fans worldwide as former Ring of Honor World Champion and current ROH World Tag Team Champion Jay Briscoe, we are told Pugh passed away several hours ago in what we have heard was an " car accident", although obviously details are very, very preliminary.

Within the confines of professional wrestling, Jay and his brother Mark were the definitive Ring of Honor act, the real-life Chicken Farmers from Delaware who were also excellent amateur wrestlers. They were deservedly part of the inaugural ROH Hall of Fame last year and it would be impossible to think of another tag team that could ever be as important to their promotion's history in the modern era as Jay and Mark Briscoe were - they carried themselves with legitimacy and never sacrificed that, not in the ring, not in promos, not in vignettes on the farm, never, ever. They were a team that carried all the hallmarks of a main event tag team act - great moves, great brawling, great promos and an incredible knack for timing in the ring.

Far more importantly, Briscoe was a tremendously family-oriented person with several daughters. Although he and his brother were making great money working for ROH, they never stopped working the family farm and at times, did landscaping work as well, because they wanted to provide the best for their families. I am sure I'll sit down and write a career retrospective, but for everything Jay accomplished professionally, nothing was more important to him than his family - and it was a trait that made him infinitely likable. I am heartbroken for his daughters and wife.

Here's a question for you fellow fans. I haven't watched AEW in a while, but I tuned in this week and see that Saraya/Paige is now a heel and Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter are faces? When and why did this happen? Why turn Saraya so soon after she arrives?
