I'm pissed off at myself upon reflection. I posted a bullying story in the Australia thread just now that thankfully had a nice ending but it reminded me of being in middle school where there was this young lad with Progeria (defined below) and although I never bullied him I also never came to his aid or even made an effort to get to know this boy. He was very intelligent and always came to school wearing a suit and carried a briefcase. Looking back I missed out on a great life lesson by simply dismissing him as an oddball. I hope he had a good life and I'm sorry for being part of the problem and not part of the solution.

Well said JustKelli and I too am pissed at my own reflection. I was bullied all throughout school and have C-PTSD as a result and as an adult I went to a park with an adjacent baseball diamonds and a Little League game had ended and a father was berating his son and the poor child looked about ready to burst and the father was saying how he can just stay inside all summer, etc. etc. and I didn't do anything. I hope that child grew up OK.

Likewise when I was working at the theater office gossip ran rampant and I'm pissed at myself for having boarded that train. I didn't actively bully anyone and the more I learned about my co-workers situations the less I gossiped about them; however, I also didn't actively stop it either ... I was part of the problem not the solution.

I saw this one coming from a mile away but was committed to it playing out once I rounded the corner onto the street in question.

Walking down the street of a 5 lane road yesterday with puddles taking up half the inside lane and there was that one asshole in the bunch that thought it would be funny to soak me which he did. I just stood there going wtf dude. I looked like a drowned cat dripping wet lol. Ya I was pissed off but I saw how from an outside perspective it may have looked funny to some.

The rest could probably go in the smile thread. 2 guys in a truck forced him off the road into a parking lot and beat the daylights out of him.

11 out of 23 dryers busted at the laundromat so you’re stuck waiting anywhere between 15 & 45 minutes to dry your clothes. That’s not as bad as walking in and realizing some dick has decided that they need all 6 of the $2.50 washers, there’s more waiting. To top it all off the change machine isn’t accepting $20’s a, so now you need to go somewhere and break the $20 to get smaller bills. By the time you’ve gotten your change, snagged a washer, fought a cholo for one of the good dryers, and explained how you restarted somebody else’s clothes on high heat it’s almost closing time and you’re ready to murder somebody.
