Are you sure you want to leave this page?
How about banning all imagehosts that ask you "Are you sure you want to leave this page" when you click to open the preview pic to see what is in the upload of the post.
ImageTwist is the worst offender. Sometimes I have to click through 3 of these types of messages just to close the browser window after looking at a preview. Why do these imagehosts ask such a stupid question? Of course I want to close the browser window once I look at and know what a post contains, why would I stay there 1 second longer? |

I would implement a feature to search for specific filehosts in a thread. So basically, when you do an advanced search there would be a list of filehosts with tickable boxes, and only posts with the hosts you have ticked will show up. Not sure how difficult such a thing would be to implement, but by Satan's fiery asshole would it make searching for good links easier.

An insane amount of bandwidth & manhours must be wasted on PS because the File Host initials do not precede EVERY post. RG, KS, FB etc. I waste fucking hours looking at posts, only to find that I don't have an account for that particular filehost and am not going to try for a timewasting "free download".
So much crap quality gets posted here, that finding a decent video or file to download just keeps getting harder. |

You thank someone AFTER the deed!
I've had my wrist slapped for whining about this elsewhere, but it seems to be on-topic for this thread, so ...
What's up with requiring people to thank the poster before they can access the links? The way I was raised, you thanked someone AFTER they did something nice, and I always try to do so, but being FORCED to thank them ahead of time is just, well, rude. Do people get free prizes for accumulating "Thank You's," or can they aspire to be named Lord of the Pathetic or something? Maybe I just don't understand some reward system here. When I do get a useful link, of course, it's really a minor annoyance. But on a fairly frequent basis, I click "Thanks," then I wait for the link to show up, and when it doesn't, I refresh the whole page, and wait for it to load, only to find a DEAD LINK. Can I retract my "Thanks" when the link is dead? Of course not. So the post can go on indefinitely, accumulating Thanks for doing nothing but waste people's time. There should at least be some form of Double Secret Probation for people who require Thanks for access to Dead Links, IMHO. If I was a Moderator, I would simply eliminate the Thanks-ransom process. If you want to post a link, post it, and if you don't feel like you get thanked enough, cowboy up and live with it. |

This is a symbiotic relationship, uploaders take a lot of time and effort to create posts, which would be pointless if no-one downloaded them (whether they get rewarded by the hosts, or not, is immaterial - it's still a wasted effort). Downloaders only have posts to download because uploaders go to that effort. Quote:
Junior Member to Registered Member, and Registered Member to ViP positions are awarded based on discussions amongst the Staff, thanks handed out has an affect on that, but not thanks received. Quote:
The link not being publicly visible makes it harder for the paysites to find and send DMCA requests to hosting site. If you find after hitting "thanks" that a link is dead, report it, and the poster will be notified, or the post removed.

If you assume that we would somehow manage to acquire sufficient server space to store every single item linked to here (excluding duplicate content) any attempt by PlanetSuzy to back up the content posted in the download links would probably lead to us being considered a "Filelocker" and open to the same government actions as them. Personally speaking I believe that enforcing your suggestion would be almost impossible, we have enough trouble getting people to remember to disguise paysite names in the first place. Not everyone remembers to use the "American" dating system, can you imagine how hard it would be for them to remember every allowed paysite name disguise?

If I were head of PS
I would make it compulsory for posters in the asian section to be more specific when it comes to asians. Ie keep Japanese and Thai and Korean and Filipino separate. Don't start a thread with say "Hot Thai Girls" and then include Japanese girls.

I'm only commenting on this last page of posts.
I agree with that "Thanking" first idea. I don't like it. Now whereas I am a whore, I appreciate "Thanks" for my posts. It's kinda like an ego thing for me to let me know if what I'm posting is any good. The answer given us by Gwynd was good though. It aggravates the shit outta me how some posters got zillions of , but have little or no ability to return the favor very much. I'll be happy to bust those posters out if you like. Next ... for that Asian comment ... I understand your point. However, sometimes the sites where we get the pics don't tell us exactly where the models are from. I'll try in the future to keep things better identified. Now as for my own current colon-twister ... I would like some forum where we can air out our grievances. Private is good. Just somewhere we can vent to an impartial judge. Am I a cry-baby? Yeah ... sure ... maybe. I would just like to voice my side. OK Now ... Back to your regularly scheduled programming. EASY

First of all you all do a great job. So thanks. I really appreciate this site. I only wish we did not get logged out so fast if we a downloading from a free service or the wife yells "dinner". Then you have to open a new page sign in again and then go back to the open pages and refresh.
