So, I'm continuing my trend of watching random old wrestling instead of WWE's current product, and thus watched London & Kendrick (w/Ashley) defend the Smackdown tag titles against Idol & Stevens (w/Michelle McCool), from No Mercy '08:
Previews (not shown because one of the clips would include a spoiler about the result): http://imagebam.com/image/0f7fd7200984468 Link: http://www18.***************/v/21553251/file.html (you should be able to watch it via stream or download it from the page) A couple of thoughts: It's funny that "Aaron Stevens" is wearing pink tights, when he's now known as Damien Sandow ... who's often wearing pink tights. I also laughed that both female seconds were wearing virtually the same outfit; they looked more like a tag team than McCool's duo, and as much a team as the Hooligans did. I can't believe how much better McCool looked back then compared to the LayCool (post-Taker) era All credit for the link & preview go to the OP. Thanks to them for sharing it, and thus allowing me to pass it forward |

Kendrick and London I would have loved to see them against MCMG or the Young Bucks. That's was my dream match.

Thoughts on SD.
1.) Rey Mysterio opening SD with a promo. Oh yeah! Rey was written off TV last year in his own hometown, by Del Rio. Totally forgot that. He said he's back, he's all happy, and then 'Berto interrupted him, no car. Del Rio wanted Rey out the ring, and wanted to talk about Sheamus rather than Rey. Chihuaha, ah yeah, good memories. Del Rio said he will be the next world champion, which has to be a Batman signal for Dolph to come out. Ziggler took issue with Del Rio's action from MITB, and Del Rio called his "trash" (in Spanish). It was funny. Rey said they should fight, but Dolph wanted a 2 on 1 over Rey, but then out comes Sheam-O. Sheamus made some funny about throwing the heels in the Pacific Ocean. Ziggler was left alone, and thank goodness he didn't get Brogue Kicked, or wasted. He escaped a 619. Nobody was hurt here, so it was a good segment. Ziggler and Sheamus scares me nowadays, because he would always get a Brogue Kick, and as MITB winner, that can't happen. He needs to gain relevancy and momentum. 2.) 8 man tag match, none of them are white. I'm just saying. Surprisingly good tag team match, highlighting all the guys very well. Titus O'Neil even showed what he should be showing, actual strength. I think more power moves would work in hiding his weakness. When Primo got the hot tag, everything went up. Primo is really standing out recently, making me think Colons turning face is a good idea. Titus shoved Primo from the top turnbuckle onto the two knees of Darren Young. That's a good tag team combo. Darren Young gets the pin, the Players escape being destroyed from Big Show, while everyone else, even the other heels, weren't so lucky. Ok...what was the point of that? All he said was "and...what?" Exploiting his ironclad contract and crap, but damn, pretty raw deal. Hell, after this, Primetime Players should get the tag team titles. 3.) RAW 1000: Jeremy Piven. He sucked. They didn't even recall his best moment. "SummerFest." HAHA! Classic, oh and Cena caught him in midair, whatever. Recapping Cena's "historic" MITB win. Hooray. 4.) Damien Sandow called Ryder a brainless broski. Haha. Ryder got some offense, but once Sandow got the advantage, it was all downhill from there. Sandow's knees, and finisher, all the same song and dance. 5.) Judging by the canned heat, it seemed to me that there is no plan to turn Bryan face, and the pop on RAW was just not intended. Peep Show, Bryan and AJ brought out a clip of their wedding planning. They were at a vegan restaurant! Yes! They were asked questions with the answer of "Yes." "Yes" to true love. Christian asked the Peeps if AJ and Bryan should get married, no, even though I bet there was a good deal of "yes." Does AJ have any idea what she's doing? Nope. AJ got mad and slapped mah boi Christian! Christian said Bryan will have to wrestle, against Kane. Labeled as "AJ's ex-boyfriend." Funny, I don't think they were officially an item (kayfabe of course). Well at least they reminded that Kane he's not boyfriend material. How this segment went down, there is heelish intentions for Bryan, and that calms be down after Monday's indication. I wish the segment wasn't just an interview basically, I wanted to hear a back and forth between Christian and Bryan. 6.) Well now, they opened up the possibility of Kane coming back into AJ's life. Kane and Bryan had a really good match, with Kane selling well for him. There was a dropkick to the knee that totally spun Kane around. Kane went over the top rope and AJ was off guard from that and fell on her butt. Back in the ring, AJ tried to jump Kane from behind and get a sleeper. Bryan tried to take advantage, but was chokeslammed while AJ was still on him. That was nice. To make indication of Kane/Bryan/AJ stronger, Kane and AJ shared a very resembling moment from RAW. AJ kissing him big time, but this time? Nothing, Kane's addled though. I guess Kane's got another wedding to ruin. Kane and Bryan at SummerSlam? I still want to see Bryan and Christian go for the IC title on RAW 1000. 7.) WHAT?! I thought Slater was just going to get squashed by Clay, but out comes Road Warrior Animal. Scoop slam, a standing elbow drop, Slater jobs to another legend again. Short, but sweet. That "Road Warrior Pop" didn't sound canned. 8.) Vickie mentioned that the insult Del Rio said in the opening segment, means donkey. Ricardo Rodriguez and Vickie were arguing, some Spanish by both people, mostly English. Vickie ended up screaming Ricardo out the screen. That was funny actually. 9.) Ricardo was about to do his announcing, and Vickie interrupted it after Del Rio came down his car. Hehe. Ugh. The match was good. Rey Mysterio didn't look to have ring rust, but what's important to note is that Rey was wearing some underarmor. Hmmm, well, he was pretty smooth regardless. He did a really good and fluid DDT counter to Ziggler with some rotation on that. He was dominated for a good deal and Sheamus got the hot tag. He was on fire, but then things went downhill when Ricardo, just by grabbing Sheamus' foot, got the ref to call for the bell. I don't know, that didn't seem right to me. To make things worse, after Del Rio wasted Sheamus' arm, Rey not coming in for the save, Ziggler planned on cashing in. Well Rey finally comes in for the save, 619, and I was a bit bothered, but I'll let it go, right? Fuck no, here comes a Brogue Kick, the move that no WWE superstar has taken more than Ziggler. God, this totally contradicts Ziggler's seed planting in a feud with Jericho. That was put on pause for yet another Ziggler squash by the damn Brogue Kick. That's twice in a week: MITB, this SD. After Ziggler won the freaking MITB briefcase even. Stop it. Please, stop it. Cody Rhodes wasn't on the show, he worked a Superstars match with Alex Riley. That's odd. |

I saw his profit for 2010 , he had to release his tax details because Linda is on an ego trip again and needs to lose another senator race. Some of us might think WWE sucks in a lot of ways, but the profits don't lie. He keeps making a shitload of money so fuck what I want.

Well Lawler indicated that Shawn and Hunter won't be alone in the DX reunion...

In all seriousness, I think Undertaker will be on RAW 1000. I also think he will be the legend to squash Slater. Since AJ's going to get married, why not have a maid of honor? Why not invite someone who knows WWE weddings, but is also AJ's idol? Lita. For some reason I was thinking, what if Matt Hardy appeared on RAW 1000? He's not contractually signed to any wrestling promotion, he's been doing indy shows, he's not burying his life as of late. |

it says the last post was at 12:12 (uk time obviously) and it says Seven Churches made the last post. I can't see the post, my previous post is the last post . Is this happening to anybody else? --------------------------------- edit never mind. It is showing now. I'm not on drugs. -------------------------------------------- I've heard a lot of unexpected names will be on Raw. Midcarders from years gone by. Why not have Damien Demento show up? Lita as maid of honor and Matt Hardy as best man . That would be something. |

How awesome would it be if Chris Jericho was the best man? he is helping Bryan out with the pre-wedding jitters and keeping him calm backstage. In theory it could work since Jericho now seems to be a good guy again and Bryan is pretending to be one. Surely he can't have turned into this new genuine man overnight, even in the crazy world of WWE.
it would be good TV |
