When I was 19 I even had a few bumps and ended up crashing on friends' sofas and not having a dollar in my pocket.

I even spend a couple of different nights at homeless shelters and went on for days without a bath or shower and nothing to eat, not even money to get a Big Mac.

But you learn and you persevere or you can give up and die or kill yourself.

Yup ^^^ !!

When you are homeless and hungry, not only do you realize all those other things you had (entertainment, luxuries) don't matter and you also realize who your real friend are (all the ones that went partying with you that you treated to drinks and food don't want to lift a finger to help you).

After I got back on my feet, from then on, it was always pay rent first, have food, have transportation, have water and electricity and nothing else mattered.

When I was 19, I was forced to serve in the army, and the pay was less than 1$ a day...

Well, to be (slighty fair) we were given free accommodation (in bunk beds located in huge dormitories) and the meals were also free.

Given that this was the Italian army, the quality of the food was better than what other people in different countries can expect in a 'so-called Italian restaurant'.

Food was and is a major big deal, and riots and mutiny would have resulted if pasta was not served 'al dente', or if shortcuts were adopted in making proper Italian food.

That video posted by Olivia Loughlin where she talks about how she just want to go to college to party has been removed by her.

Her YouTube channel with the rest of her videos talking about clothing, makeup, shopping, girls stuff is still up.

By the way, Olivia had endorsement contracts with several companies as an advertising spokesmodel.

Those companies include Sephora and Tresemmé and both company have now dropped her and deleted any trace of her from their websites.

The Hallmark Channel has also dropped her mother's movie contract.

Here comes the lawsuits including one filed by the parents of a young man (who looks Asian and we know Asians with a 4.2 GPA do not get deny admission into colleges) asking for $500 billion, Yes! Billions, not millions, in damages!!

Yeah, but no way will she even get close to that. MAYBE she'll get a few million, but the $500 billion was just a negotiating point. haha.

BTW, I found this to be kinda interesting. 2 days ago, we heard Olivia had quit that college, but this comment from the university is from yesterday. "We have confirmed that both Olivia Giannulli and Isabella Giannulli still are enrolled," the university told Fox News Friday. "USC is conducting a case-by-case review for current students and graduates that may be connected to the scheme alleged by the government and will make informed decisions as those reviews are completed."

I went to a very good school in the 1980s - I did well on standardized tests, had pretty good grades, and a rec from a college professor who had taught at the school in question and others in the area - I assume my acceptance was a combination of all of those, plus a prestigious scholarship, which I promptly lost after the first year by not maintaining a high enough GPA. Overall, in retrospect, I got in on merit - or perceived merit anyway. But I knew several people during my four years who clearly were accepted to, or continuing to stay in school, because of rich parents or connections. One guy was in his 7th year as an undergrad - he wasn't really stupid, just lazy and a stoner, but he always manage to stay in because his parents were really rich and he was a legacy admission.

So none of this shit surprises me; I guess the saddest thing about all this is that these kids, with parents as rich as they had, weren't able to get good enough foundations in high school to get into decent schools on their own. Wouldn't one of the first things you'd do as a rich parent be to make sure you help your children to get a good education - hire tutors for them in HS for example, no law against that. Let 'em take the tests multiple times, study, etc - again no law against that. If they're too dumb or shallow at the end of all that effort to make in college, then that's life. Obviously being a rich celeb kid you can just make money from Insta or YT anyway, college or not.
