mar77... There are a couple of stories as to what happened to Monica. Some say she came to US on a tour of the various porn companies in CA. and disappeared into a crowd of people and changed her name and is living in the US. Prolly married now and has kids.

I've also read on other boards a story that she was snatched by white slavery traders and sold to some rich guy that keeps her as a sex slave. Some say it was an arab shiek that ended up with her and some say she was sent to a brothel in SE Asia.

I would like to believe it was the 1st story and that she is happily married and living here in US or back home in her country.

Same here. Let's hope she found happiness in her anonymity (married and living happily in the US) and not sadness. I'd hate to think that someone as well-known as herself (at least to us deviants

) could be sold into slavery? Option 3 (and I'm just speculating) could be she died in some capacity (drugs most likely), and that's why she's disappeared from the industry? She wouldn't be the first nor the last sadly.

Do external HD really fail? What's their life span and known causes of failure. I know I can search for info, but experiences from members here will be helpful too. Thanks in advance.

when i used to collect high res pix, i used to have around 50-100 girls , or maybe even more. i have lots and lots of favorites.

External HDD are really only normal hard disks in a case.
So yes they can and will fail.

I have had lots of hard drives in my life and only one has failed on me.
But I did loose some "important data" - some videos actually.

So the ONLY failsafe method is to have several external drives and rotate them, and also store one of them off site, in case of fire or theft.

I used to keep all my porn on a Maxtor external 550 gig HD (about the size of a small book) and then 1 day after I had it for 2 years it failed. I lost all my porn so instead I started burning all my porn as I get it to DVD. I only save the best scenes but at least I will never lose them (unless my house burns down).
