Some of them seem more "together" mentally than others. I never heard the "broken home" excuse for Silvia Saint, Tera Patrick or Julie Meadows. But Jenna Jameson claimed she did have that to some extent. I think it depends on how mentally strong someone is to deal with trauma.

Well, it's not like we've never seen that happen before: a person who suffers from depression or something similar and is on the verge of having a breakdown. Then something "triggers" that breakdown and that is the end of their life. Ames is actually a good case: she pissed off the twitter SJWs, then of course she got a lot of hate and abuse from the mobs and later on she killed herself. Social media is not a good place for the weak of mind. That being said, I think it's unclear whether Dakota's death and her latest social media controversy are related, given her struggle with drugs.

While it appears that porn life is not easy life, there are one million jobs out there that are way rougher than porn. Think about all those people working at coal mines, steel mills, dockworkers, oir rig workers, satination workers, brick masons etc. Or if you don't want go that far, just think about the people working at your local fast food chain or mopping the floor in a shopping mall. Or think about the people doing these same jobs in third world countries, nations with failed economies and being extremely underpaid. I think it's kind of an insult to those people when someone goes and says that porn is rough.

In contrast, some women can just take off their clothes, spread their legs and bang! One shoot and they make the same money I do in a normal job over the course of a week (maybe a month or even a year!). And things are getting easier everyday. Now they set up an 0n1yf4ns/ch4turb4t3 account, do some homemade videos and earn loads of cash, with no need to rely on the "evil" porn industry.

Like with many other porn stars, it seems clear that Dakota's struggles were personal ones, that predate her porn debut or were not caused by her participation in the porn industry. Problems such as dysfunctional families, abusive partners or parents, drug addiction or depression happen to many people who have no involvement with porn.

You're actually describing any industry in the world. If you're not performing well, if you don't deliver the results that are expected from you, eventually you'll be kicked out of your job. Literally any company does that. The only people who really cares about you are your family and friends, if that! You could argue that the porn business is actually more "tolerant" than others, because I can think of a lot of places where I'd be turned down or fired immediatly if I show up high on some drug like she did.

Tera had a degree and other options when she entered the porn industry. I think it was a pretty conscious choice for her, not a decision born out of lack of good alternatives.

What struck me from the doc "Hot Girls Wanted" was that a lot of these girls go into porn almost like on a lark. Certainly not something they have consciously thought about for a long time before they do it.
