Mr_JTR: Yes, I knew what you meant, but there was no way I was going to resist a straight line like that.

What this thread needs is a bit more humour and a bit less 'I hate the show'. From now on I'm adopting a 'don't feed the trolls' policy and ignoring them. Who knows, maybe they'll go back to Skaro, and leave the people who actually like the show in peace. (see what I did there?) g3n3s1s01: might be your first post here, but it was a cracker. More please! Quote:
Been wondering what they looked like under those silly things for a while. |

There is also a possible connection with Missy who will be making an appearance this weekend. Is it really possible for Missy to change her ways? I do hope not! |

PennyPurehart Dead right, they had human bodies heavily augmented with cybernetics. It was only later they did the brain transplant thing. What made me think of it was that their mouths didn't move when they spoke. Almost like they were using vocoders. From there it was only a short step...
g3n3s1s01 The Master will never change. Not really. S/he's the Doctor's dark side, the self-centred little psychopath that lurks at the bottom of everybody's id. OK, nobody can do a Delgardo quite like Delgardo, but the last couple have been a damn good try. It wouldn't surprise me to find that the entire thing from the execution onwards has been one huge setup by Missy. Maybe that pyramid is Missy's TARDIS. Maybe a lot of things. Saturday will tell. |

Good to know that if I don't believe the same as you that I am now considered a troll. This is why no one comments here anymore when you get attacked for saying what a hundred other online blogs are saying. Bill's character would never have surrendered the Earth to the Monks period. The Doctor ALWAYS chooses one of the best among us as his traveling companion. PERIOD. I'm sorry that I want my beloved show to be better. Maybe my standards are higher than most, but at 60 years of age I expect my Doctor Who to have better writing. This will be my last post here as I now know that you must be part of the clique to be able to freely post without being attacked for saying what 100's of others are also saying. When Doctor Who gets it right, it's damn near perfect, when they don't it looks like Capaldi's first season as the Doctor. Why is this season so much better? They made him human again and not like everyone's mean old Uncle. Last post from me. Have at it. I won't be posting here again.

Every once in a while out of 7.2 billion he comes across one that is the best of the best of us lowly humans willing to sacrifice themselves at anytime for the rest of mankind. Since watching Doctor Who since 1970, do I know Doctor Who or do I know Doctor Who? Bill has officially become a companion of note.

Actually, you are right. Originally, the Cybermen had parts of their humaniod bodies replaced. For example, the ones who showed up originally had fleshy hands. Then in a much later appearance, they had their jaws visible through their helmuts. They've been altered over the years, but that has caused a continuity problem, as some episodes with later Doctors took place in time periods before more fleshy, original Cybermen appeared. |

i liked this week's show but felt too much like that episode with the John Simm Master and hobbit Tennant in a cage.
Looking forward to the Ice Warriors return. |

I did notice that the voice of the female Ice Warrior in the Next Time trailer sounds an awful lot like the Empress of the Racnoss in Runaway Bride.
