was dumb enough to buy 1 month premium - what a mistake that was - absolutely dreadful speeds and so many attempts terminated after just a couple of Mbs I've all but given up - have of course cancelled the auto renewal. STAY CLEAR!

I've never been able to download anything from Rapidgator.

If it doesn't work on jdownloader, it's basically dead to me.

Members should definitely be discouraged from downloading anything to this site until a significant improvement is seen.

I noticed today that RG now has an hourly limit (about two files, regardless of size) rather than the 24-hour limit (again, which was about two files, regardless of size). And it seems to be true. I waited 60 minutes from the time my last file completed and I was able to continue.

I'm not a fan of the speed, either, but so far I have yet to have RG "interrupt" or cancel a file mid-download...so they've got that workin' for 'em.

Screw what I just wrote. There is now a 24-hour "Captcha Limit" for this filehost. Which for me meant three captcha entries and on my fourth attempt of the day, this:

You have reached your daily limit of entering captcha codes.
Don`t want to wait? Buy Premium right now!

Man, I know it's tough out there for filehosts and for us porn-lovers, but for fuck's sake, what kind of business model is this? "Our site is fairly difficult to use, you can't download fast and then only when we allow you...but, hey, dipshit, give us some money and we promise the world will be so much better..."

For content posters using RapidGator - if we can't download from this host, you're not getting paid. Inform RG that you need these "traps" and "limits" to change otherwise, members like myself are just going to go to another content member's post and download from their host. And for the love of God, don't bother telling me to buy a premium membership.

Sorry, but that's not true. It was either a temp flaw of the service or a failure on your end. I just tested a download link with a series of incomplete captchas. I stopped the test after the 10th captcha.

but I agree with the rest of your statement. This host is not a good one for a downloader.

Just received an email back from RG and it turns out that the Captcha error is a regional issue and it's been cleared up. True to their word, I refreshed some links I've been putting on hold and I am good to go.

Now, with only a one-hour download limit and fairly decent speed, RG really is pretty good. My main problem was the daily and Captcha limit, and now both of those are changed to my liking so what would I have to complain about now? I guess I could nitpick on the grammar and proper use of capitalization on their site but,...meh...

But, that's just me as a free-user here in the Pacific NW.
