Yes, that's why encoders abandoned XviD (and avi in general) in waves
when MP4's became more widely available & easier to encode.
(You can argue they are the same but they are actually not.)
It always boils down to video quality versus file size.

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to politely disagree with you on this.
A similarly sized file on MKV has better video quality over an MP4 any day.
Sure, you might find an MP4 with similar/superior video quality over the MKV
if you don't mind downloading an much larger file.

With p0rnpr0s, the first order quality issue is finding the best quality release. Off the top of my head, I cannot think of any bad encodes I've found from them @ 1080p. Generally, they tend to put the better quality versions on Pur3Matur3, then P@ssion-HD, but those are not absolutes.

When you do get a good encode @ higher resolution from P0rnpr0s, they provide OUTSTANDING quality, much better than B@ngbr0s, which limits their 720p encodes to 3000 kbps. If you don't mind the bandwidth and time, you're almost always better off to D/L the 1080p version from P0rnpr0s and encode using h.264 (quality = 19 or 20) to an MP4 file at 720p. The file will be smaller, use fewer system resources and look better than their mpg or wmv releases @ 720p. So far, I've done that with about 50 files, always with better results.

problem about p0rnpros is, they has not 1080p quality vids. just 720p max. therefore i'm forced to pick best possible file type sollution, to provide best quality for me while watching it.
