It would've continued the trend of pro wrestling promotions using foreigners to play a foreign-to-the-wrestler's person. Muhammed Hassan from 2005, was actually Italian himself. Ivan Koloff, the man who beat Bruno Sammartino for the WWWF championship, ending his 8 year reign, was actually Canadian but played a Russian gimmick. So Santino is a great wrestler. I'd read that that gimmick would've made him into a wrestling machine like character that Kurt Angle sported, touting how he could make anyone tap out. I know Santino is good in the ring, they just book him as a joke. Santino's peak, other than the Elimination Chamber performance this year, was as a heel. Then, you were supposed to laugh AT him, but I ended up laughing WITH him. Eventually he and Beth Phoenix paired up to form Glamarella. Underrated duo, as I found them awesomely entertaining. This was their best moment, one that still makes me laugh hard. Cena corpsed, it was too damn funny, "John Chena." The kind of comedic dynamic was something Santino was best at. As a face, now it's getting people to laugh with him, and it just doesn't feel the same, and at best, it's hit and miss. |

Whie I think Khali is an awful wrestler, I think he has a place in the WWE. He's best suited for a tag team, so he doesn't have to work too much. The problem with the Mahal and Khali team I thought was that Mahal wasn't a good enough wrestler to cover up Khali's shortcomings. I'd like to see them bring in someone like Sonjay Dutt. I hadn't watched NXT since the second season. I may start watching it again when the new season starts. I always thought the B-shows (Heat, Velocity) were usually better

Talk about dodging a bullet - if Santino had come in as a judo/ass-kicking machine, he'd have been long since released IMHO. Him being a comedy guy probably saved his career (and certainly made him more money in merchandise sales).
And I'm less impressed by Ryback picking up two jobbers that are probably about 150/175 lbs. each than I am when Cena FUs (or Lesnar F5s) guys like Big Show or Mark Henry. Hell, Cena had both Big Show & Edge on his back at once at Mania a few years back. I have to admit MIB04: I'm not a fan of Sonjay Dutt. No real reason, I just couldn't ever get into his characters or matches. With that said: yeah, he'd be a better "worker" in a tag with Khali than Mahal ever could be. I totally recommend watching NXT - I don't know how well the FCW guys will merge in, but the most recent 'season' was awesome, with decent matches and actually entertaining backstage shenanigans. You could tell that it was the show that Vince & company didn't micromanage, because it was actually entertaining. |

lol
if he did that then I would definitely be impressed. Where is Mark Henry ? They should bring him in and let Ryback try it on. Henry dead weights and Ryback pulls muscles in his legs and back because of too much magic juice. Ryback is never seen again. |

From what I read, he had shoulder surgery. If he feels he'll be fit to perform, he'll come back. If not, he said he won't come back, I believe. I was thinking that Henry and Ryback would be like Sheamus and Henry last year. However, with Ryback's dominance, a good beating by Henry would be nice. Then Ryback can win in the end. He needs to be knocked down a peg.

It's just one thing after another with The Hulkster. Worst celebrity Dad, ouch. I did have to laugh at the balls deep inside Brooke re-tweet.
That's right, I remember reading about Mark Henry a few weeks ago. I wouldn't mind Ryback vs Mark Henry. It's at the point that I will take anything. I read something on pwi and somebody said about Orton coming back as a heel when his suspension ends. Even go after CM Punk again . This time CM punk is an established babyface and it will be different than their feud last year because CM Punk was still a a heel. Orton was just coasting along before the suspension. CM Punk hasn't been setting the world on fire lately. |

you could be right. I don't think Orton will be held back too long.
Anything except another feud with Kane will be fine . Randy Orton loses to Ryback on his first match back on TV. Talk about a kick in the balls. I see Randy Orton do the pre match promo thing before Ryback comes out and destroys him . That would be a humbling experience. |

Orton's probably the size of both jobbers Ryback would squash. I wonder if Cole will mark out at that.
For those who don't watch Zack Ryder's show, there's a segment in it that regularly airs featuring Ziggler in "Ask the Heel." Well I noticed the logo and... |
