Some trivia...in this film Celi's own voice was not used, but another actor's was dubbed in. This same actor, Robert Rietty, later provided the dubbing for Blofeld's brief appearance in For Your Eyes Only (1981).

Milland only did a few clinkers towards the end of his career. To find an actor who shamelessly degraded himself for a buck at every opportunity, John Carradine would have to be the king. Consider that one of his last great roles was Grapes of Wrath, some forty years before he died.

And he was nominated for an Academy Award for one of those clinkers: Love Story. Okay, Love Story and The Thing with 2 Heads are perhaps apples and oranges, but Love Story is a tough movie to take, at least for men.
