ASfile as a required host is a bad decision. Now you'll get ASfile posts with UL and RG as mirrors. You might as well put up a banner that says: "Free downloaders aren't welcome here anymore."

Mega.co, Putlocker / Firedrive, Filefactory and ************** are all better hosts for free users.

I have always found that Bitshare is very fast for free downloads, you just have to wait between second and third movies.

Also I think that File Factory is very good for fast free downloads with no hassles.

And Zippy Share is good other than its small file size.

I agree with your assessment of free download hosters 100%

Do you think zippyshare should be mandatory file host in the PATM sections? It's by far the quickest download/upload host, and there is no time limit between downloads. I just think we should take advantage of this host whilst the current site rules (zippyshare's) are in place. Obviously if things change on zippyshare that no longer make it the great host that it is the admins could change the mandatory rule.

I think so, aye. As a non-premium user, I've had nothing but satisfactory success with Zippy. It's replaced DepositFiles as my favourite host.

True, but file splitting is easy to do and it's worth it for such quick uploading and downloading.

That is offset by the fact you can downloaded multiple files at once, with no time limit wait in between.

There are much more drawbacks with this host.
(1) the official retention period is 30 days without download - the reality is lower. I am using Zippy as an uploader (only in GM) and I know what I am talking about.
(2) We have already too many skunks in PATM who intentionally delete their required hosts to boost Rapidgator. Zippyshare is always the first that they are removing. This problem would be expanded to all other sections if Zippy becomes mandatory.
(3) Zippy has already low availability figures. There is ALWAYS at least one of their file servers down. They don't have the money to improve the platform.
(4) They delete everything - even a completely faked DMCA takes the file down. Again: they don't have the money to check anything.
(5) The user interface is a mess. I admit that's only an issue for the uploader and not for downloader who wants to have the fastest download for free.
