I know I said 30 days and 20 days. I'm going to stop at 25. Just because I saw this video earlier and I had to put it down.
Seriously. I have another 5 days. Day 20 - Who is the Worst World Champion Ever? |

That is my point, the fine could be too much for the lesser-paid wrestlers, so they will learn, but if the wrestler makes too much, will anything be learned? Same for all pro-sports.

I don't think Sheamus will learn his lesson until it is raised to a cool million.

Daniel Bryan was in a mask?! Older ROH shows had Rudy Boy Gonzales get his students involved in the shows, with some feuds built around who was the best student. Some of them were trained by HBK when he and Rudy Boy worked together in the Texas Wrestling Academy. Spanky (Brian Kendrick) and Daniel Bryan were two of them, who wrestled a few matches based on that. Another was Michael Shane (Shawn Michaels' cousin) and Paul London. TNA wrestler Hernandez was in the post Shawn Michaels training academy, and he was there for a few shows.
That was a weird song. As for the question. The worst world champion is David Arquette. Vince Russo is seriously not far off. David Arquette being world champion showed what celebrity tie ins with wrestling, going TOO far. At least WWE never had a sense with that. WCW went through a period where their world champions blew chunks, booking mostly. Vince Russo, David Arquette, nobody remembers Jeff Jarrett as champion (other than jobbing the title to Booker T). Chris Benoit was world champion upon jumping ship to WWE. If that doesn't tell you how prestigious the WCW championship was (zero), nothing will. Jumping to WWE into their midcard at first, rather than being their top guy. Holy cow. Arquette only became champion as some promotion for Ready to Rumble (never watched it. I don't want to.). Speaking of fines, in ROH, some of their wrestlers have been getting fined for using chairshots to the head, and other stuff (all kayfabe of course). The highest was Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas getting fined 5 grand each. That's pretty believable. Veterans who probably saved their money from WWE, taking a lot of bookings around the world, and the exposure ROH gets through Sinclair Broadcasting Group, their paychecks probably increased, from before they were bought by SBG. All in all, realistic. Sheamus should've just ran a gauntlet match, that seems to be fitting punishment. That or a handicap match. Then Bryan would pin Sheamus in either of those kind of matches, and actually progress their rivalry. |

5 grand for Benjamin and Haas sounds fine . That wasn't on purpose. Perfectly realistic for a start.
I always thought Danielson must have wore a mask at some point because of the American dragon name. I just assume anybody with the name dragon wears a mask. dragon kid, super dragon, ultimo dragon etc. |

Don't shit on Ready To Rumble. It was actually a pretty funny movie. Some things in it were stupid but it had quite a few LOL moments in it.

In other news the WWE is saying they had 1.3 million buys for WM. That translates into $67,000,000 including the ticket sales, PPV, and maerchandise sales. Not a bad day for them. Guess the wrestlers should see some nice paychecks.

Wrestlemania 23 was their highest grossing PPV with 1.2 million buys. That show's biggest draw was Donald Trump and Stone Cold refereeing the match. So, Rock draws more than Donald Trump? Makes perfect sense.

Raw in England was a mostly enjoyable show.

A CM pathetic sign . I laughed. Mark Henry vs CM Punk WWE title match was decent. Big guy beats up the little guy, little guy catches a break and wins after hitting the big move. Punk caught at the bar/pub earlier, what was he doing in there? Jericho is tremendous. Chicago Street Fight is the match stipulation at Extreme Rules. David Otunga vs Santino Marella for the United States title. At least Jerry Lawler got the football teams right. Santino retains the United States title. Next. The Brock Lesnar 'controversial words' segment was brilliant . Photo's from UFC and old videos of him kicking ass in high school. He is not here for us, this is strictly business. I can believe that. Brock is definitely getting the all star treatment here. He killed PG with his attitude Quote:
Good promo from Cena. John Laurinaitis comes out and does his thing. Cena has a match tonight. Time for Lord Tensai to put his skills to the test. Quite a step up in competition. Daniel Bryan vs Kofi Kingston. Kofi was the most hated man in England because Bryan is so popular. Awesome. Great Britain and Irish fans = smart. Very good match. Bryan gets the submission win with the yes lock . Sheamus makes a cameo appearance after the match. If I ever put a things that don't make sense list, Epico and Primo getting killed by Big Show and Khali would be on it. It's not like I haven't seen it before, but it is confusing. Raw ends on a high note and Cena loses again! Lord Tensai uses the old mist in the eye tactic to get the win. I was thinking DQ before the match started, I never expect Cena to lose, he is my Manchester United of wrestling. Tensai celebrates after the match like it meant something to him, and it should. He needs to come out next week and say something. |
