Ryback reminds me of a less talented, solo version of the Shane Twins (Gymini). Knowing how Vince likes big, beefy guys I'm surprised Gymini were released years ago.

I guess it really is true about some of us having a crappy memory. I'm not even sure what day I stopped on. Pretty sure it was 16 or 17.

so I'll start again on 18. Day 18 - Your favorite feud of all time There have been some great feuds since 1996/7 (and before), but none have topped this in my opinion. Their double turn following their epic encounter at Wrestlemania 13 breathed life back in to the WWF . The rest as they say is history. I loved this feud. Ehhh. Being a fan for only 6 years, and not really knowing about feuds until 2008, I didn't get fed classic rivalries people talk about years after they happen. Edge/'Taker, HBK/Undertaker, Jericho/HBK, Punk/Jeff Hardy, Cena/Orton, Christian/Orton, Punk/Cena. From 2008 onwards, on my own time, I looked at old footage and feuds, and there were some awesome ones. Outside of WWE, very few classic feuds pop in head. Just for mention's sake for ROH: Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan) vs. Nigel McGuinness (2006, on and off from 2007-2009), and Kevin Steen vs. El Generico (2010).
Anyways, I'll go with Shawn Michaels and HHH. It wasn't a feud that went for a span of months and that's it. It was something that took WWE by storm in many periods between 2002-2004, but it had 7 years of a latent backstory. Their best match? Even though I didn't watch WWE in 2002, I could feel the emotion of that SummerSlam match. JR revealed that he cried after that match. Certainly makes sense. Best friends turned bitter enemies. Simple, but with two fantastic storytellers making it so much more. This is a feud I felt where the wrestlers planned it out. I think those tend to be some of the best. Shawn and Jericho had most of the input in their feud, Cena and Punk got their words in, obviously. Creative though can bolt at a classic feud, but it's best when wrestlers sit down and piece the story together. I got the feeling of that with Christian and Orton with wrestling alone, rather than promos. Punk/Cena was the opposite. Anyways, Hornswoggle vs. Chavo Guerrero is a good second place . |

I had just watched an ROH iPPV from March 4. It took place in Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. There were "Yes!" chants. It started after Nigel McGuinness talked about the matches he and Bryan had, but it was on commentary. Maybe a front row fan heard him and got the chant growing. It happened in many instances of the show. So Miami didn't start it. In fact, their two iPPVs during Wrestlemania weekend, before Wrestlemania, had many "Yes" chants. I thought that was worth showing. It wasn't the state of Florida loving Bryan. He's not loved by Florida. He's just loved by different groups of wrestling fans. Whereas in regular WWE TV, there are fewer groups.
I searched for Daniel Bryan and "yes" chants, and this is what I found. Not as big, but remembering the "Yes" phenomenon of last week, it's unbelievable that it continued after the show. |

@SixG...Comparing Ryback and Ryder is unfair. It's like apples and oranges. Ryback is just another jacked up freak who does power move after power move. And while probably 75% of the fans here might like that, I know I don't. As far as Ryder goes, he was nothing but a curtain jerker who with the help of his youtube show and some influential friends has actuallt elevated himself to be one of the biggest fan favorites right now. And having seen him wrestle live, he's actually pretty good. He sells like a champ...maybe not Ziggler good, but good none the less.

Nowadays, the most important part of Z True Long Island Story is who makes cameos. Since it's now hosted under the WWE Youtube channel, it's interesting how a few guys make it there and WWE keeps it up. Speculation comes. For one, John Morrison's presence was felt for a couple weeks, including a part where his ghost talks to Ryder (the show tends to get very animated). Then, just last week, there's a close up, rising shot of Colt Cabana aka Scotty Goldman. Plus the final image of a recent episode was Ryder and Cabana smiling for the camera. If Cabana was ever signed, to distract Punk from the WWE title, as he's having the longest WWE title reign since HHH in 2008, pair those guys up in a tag team. That'd be fun, as both guys are real life best friends. If Jericho were to keep feuding with Punk, he should enlist the help of Christian (remember Punk beat on Christian mercilessly). |

Sometimes I think Dolph should remember who he is getting compared to, and how it ended up for him. Curt was pretty much done as a top level performer in 1991 because he threw himself about like a pinball and his back was done in . I'm not saying Dolph should stop bumping, but maybe water it down a little. Some of the bumps he takes are unnecessary.
speaking of bumpers and sellers. Tensai should have been put in there with a Tyson Kidd (remember him? ) or a similar opponent on his Raw 'Debut'. With Tensai doing these big power moves, Alex Riley didn't make them look as good as they should have looked because his selling powers are shit. I don't watch The Zack show, but I did see that episode that Morrison was in. It was pretty funny. I always liked Morrison, this time away could be good for him in the long run. He isn't going to show up on TNA, it looks like he does have a brain. I think he can be valuable to WWE again. |
