Last time they had a heel go over (exclude Miz because seriously, nobody cared he won, it was all about Rock/Cena), was Wrestlemania 16. HHH retained the WWF title after Vince screwed Rock. The end result was garbage being thrown for minutes, despite Rock getting one up on Stephanie. While that would make people happy, the decision far outweighed that finish. I prefer Cena winning, but Rock winning seemed to be less of a risk to them, to end Wrestlemania on a positive note. Any other PPV, it would've been acceptable. I do have a feeling that they are now onto sucking Rock's penis. Now HE's labeled the greatest WWE superstar of all time? There was a DVD in 2010 that counted down the top 50. Guess who was number one? Shawn Michaels, and the DVD was released months after he retired. In 2009, Vince McMahon at Austin's HOF induction, said Austin is the greatest WWE superstar of all time. So now they are all over Rock, and will put him over as just that. Who's next? If Undertaker retired tomorrow, officially, they will just jump on 'Taker and say HE's the greatest WWE superstar of all time. Thoughts on SD 1.) John Laurinaitis was brought out by David Otunga. Johnny brings out Teddy to thank him. Teddy Long gave a classy farewell to the fans, and not so much Laurinaitis. Ace stopped his final walk up the ramp, and wanted to give him a job. Teddy declined. So WWE creative made it so Teddy can't leave TV, with some stuff on his grandchildren's college funds in the hands of whoever is SD GM, and that Long stays in WWE? Oh come on. Johnny Ace booked R-Truth against Otunga and Henry. That's funny. I'd like it, but not everyone else. 2.) So it happened and Mark Henry caught Truth trying a spinning kick, and did the world's strongest slam. Impressive. Abraham Washington was watching. A suggestion: take Mark Henry, but build a stable. Henry's a big name to give Washington instant credibility, and then he can get lower level names, and they become better by association. 3.) Shortly after losing at Wrestlemania, they protect Orton's image by having him win a No DQ match. The feud is probably over. Well what was the point of Kane winning at Wrestlemania? Ah well, the match was awesome. RAW had a PPV quality match in CM Punk and Mark Henry, and Kane/Orton had a PPV quality match. Big time brawl, DDT on the steel stage, chair shots to the back. They had an awesome street fight last year, and this was just like it. Great stuff. 4.) Sheamus' image was shown and there was applause. Hmmm, then they recalled Del Rio and Sheamus. You can't hear the loud Bryan support, edited off. Hmmmm. So it's apparent, they didn't plan on Bryan's overwhelming support. 5.) Barry Stevens, and they cut backstage where you can't hear him much. Then he got cheap heat for saying the people are rude. Ryback debuted, and he looks the same as when he left. He was gone for almost 2 years! Had to be a long road to recovery, and his looks then and now, is that of being a total bull. Squash, looked nice. Good start. I don't know why some superstars were laughing and happy at the squash. 6.) Bryan looks despondent, as Matthews perfectly said. However, where's the big pop? Edited off. There were guys with a shirts that said "Yes" 3 times! Awesome. 7.) The voice edited off, but you can't edit out the people! AJ got the mic after Bryan was too down, and now they let the noise be heard, and brought up his overwhelming support the past week. That's nice. He questioned if the people were mocking him, and then the fans said "no." He then brought up how they chanted "Yes" for The Rock. Good point. He's staying heel through it all, and he's blaming AJ. Bryan blamed her for wanting to kiss him, and fans chanted 18 seconds. You can see some people still saying "yes." Those people probably booed him because they are "supposed" to do that. Even through the yelling and burying of AJ, there was still some "yes," and even a "nanana goodbye" chant! Wow! There is character progression, Bryan's now going solo, and maybe might be booked more seriously?! Holy crap, if that happens, then the 18 seconds could very well be justified. Just when I think Bryan had "best promo of his career" at one point, then a later point, then another, he goes ahead and bolts out another one. One with so much passion and conviction. He had to have deep down frustration over losing at Wrestlemania. It was fantastic. Some people laughed and agreed, which is acceptable. I was at awe, this guy pushes himself to have great promos. He's great on the mic, but for most of his career, he was only given the ring. Now he's given the mic, and there's a new test for him. The hard worker that he is, he wants to pass the test. He's been passing that test, and I consider him a tremendous mic worker. If WWE isn't convinced now, they should be after that. Outstanding. Oh and AJ! My God, her facial expressions are heart warming and face melting. Although she was sad, it was just too sweet. Aw man, I'm so happy from this segment. 8.) Big Show squashed Slater. Easy stuff. Cody tried to jump him, but couldn't, and ran away. New shirt! Nice. 9.) Somebody taller than Johnny Ace? I didn't realize how tall Sheamus is. I think 6'4". Good stuff. Sheamus his now vintage folk tale stuff, relating it to Johnny Ace possibly going mad with power. The result is that he got his head shoved up his own arse. Hehe, that was kind of funny. 10.) Why the hell is Kelly Kelly ringside? GRRRRR! Nikki Bella beat Beth Phoenix in a minute because Kelly Kelly distracted her. Ugh. Well, Kelly might be divas champion again. I get the feeling that her title reign is closing in on being done. 11.) How nice that they did a tribute package to Chief Jay Strongbow, who recently passed away. 12.) I already like Damien Sandow, he compared the downfall of entertainment, bringing up Jersey Shore and Desparate Housewives. He claims his essence is to save people from ignorance. I should thank him? Got to see him killing it in the ring, and do a live in ring promo. Man, it feels like a new year in WWE. Ryback, Tensai, and now Damien Sandow. I read Sandow is a top prospect in HHH's eyes. Well hopefully HHH is right on this guy. I haven't seen his FCW stuff. 13.) I don't watch the RAW Rebound a lot, but had to since it recapped Lesnar. That's certainly going to go down as a legendary moment. 14.) Matthews botched on Del Rio. He hasn't wrestled since December, not October. It's ok. Del Rio and Sheamus had a good match. Del Rio didn't seem to have any ring rust, still working on the arm very well, and doing some beautiful enzuigiris. What's different though was how he finished a match. More interference by Ricardo Rodriguez, but the special part was Del Rio framing Sheamus with a chair, and faking that he got hurt from it. Eddie Guerrero much? 'Berto won via DQ, and Sheamus Brogue kicked the ref. This adds up to Del Rio getting a future title shot, and gaining an enemy in John Laurinaitis. Johnny Ace could be sticking it to both Punk and Sheamus, which should help him become an even bigger heel. Daniel Bryan didn't come out. Damn. I wished he did, got to see how he will deal out frustration in a physical way. Already experienced the emotional outburst. Bryan and AJ's segment was the best part of the whole show. Bryan doesn't even need to wrestle to steal the show. |

Barry Stevens getting promo time was the strangest thing.
this was definitely the best promo Bryan has done in WWE. Sheamus will win their rematch as well, but this time I hope we get around 15-20 and it is real close and competitive. It was important that Bryan had a good performance tonight and he really did. Johnny Ace was just a bastard. Brilliant. Threatening to take away the college fund. That never gets old. Orton vs Kane was pretty good tonight, this shit over their Wrestlemania match. I can't figure out why Kane won at Wrestlemania . I don't call Rock winning weird, I also think he won because it was in Miami and it was Wrestlemania. Kane winning didn't make any sense. But whatever. I like the look of Damien Sandow too. I didn't know he was a Triple H prospoect, but it kinda makes sense because his promo tonight had a hint of Triple H intro promo's. |

Sorry guys but I am just not that big a Bryan fan like you guys are. He is a great technical wrestler. He excels at that but most times he is on the mic he is as exciting as watching paint dry.
Different strokes for different folks I guess... |

It's funny that they re-debuted "Ryback" now, just after they brought back Brock & Tensai, two guys that are better than him in every way imaginable. The guy's been doing dark matches for like 5 months, and they never thought high enough of him to bring him back ... until just after they bring back guys that will overshadow him.
I don't see a lot of good things in the future for Ryback. Bad name, lame gimmick, and a crew of guys that are bigger & better than him (I'd add Brodus Clay & Mark Henry to the two guys mentioned in my 1st paragraph) ... I could see him being the next "Mason Ryan" before I see him being a successful gimmick/character. Heck, I could see Mike Tenay & Tazz saying "We know who that is!" as Skip Sheffield debuts on TNA in about 9 months before I could see him being a success in the WWE. |

someone on youtube was talking about how he looks in his outfit.

It suddenly has come to me. Kane won at Wrestlemania because the feud with Orton will continue onto Extreme Rules (at least) |

I was thinking of that same reason of Kane winning, but since Orton won days later, I don't see the use of a rematch at Extreme Rules. Unless they go falls count anywhere (coincidentally a DVD of that match will be released around that time). By the way, new Bryan shirt out already. Ok, seriously... It's apparently 25 bucks. That's robbery. Looks the same as his gray shirt. It should cost at most 15 bucks. |

Somebody is getting me the t shirt when WWE come here next weekend. I'm not ordering from them again because there was a fuck up with my last order. Uh it was sent out, Uh we are out of stock so it wasn't sent out. Uh fuck you then, I cancel my order.
I guess Orton and Kane had the rematch on TV to level up the score at 1-1 so they can have a decider on PPV. If they are staying together of course. As for Casey Ryback. I'm thinking the same as burtog. I don't fancy his chances. To me he is basically a 2012 lamer version of the Warlord. What is it they say ? all muscle and no hustle. |
