Indeed, they definitely sound great, live. And the old-time fans (those who are in their 50s early 60s, so to speak), are some of the most polite fans I ever saw at a concert. They don't push people, throw bottles of water at your head (as it happens with most Metal concerts) or anything like that. They just wanna have fun and hang out with other fans, sing songs together. Gotta also love the arts/graphics they put on the screen for each song like also NIN does. It definitely enhance the whole "experience". A real shame I wasn't 20 or something, back in 1993, when the "Devotional Tour" officially started. I would've definitely loved to be part of the audience. The "Devotional Tour" still remains one of the most iconic tours in music history. Even with Dave high as a kite on Heroin and coke, Martin exhausted, Andy and Alan "pissed off" and depressed AF, they still put out an amazing tour that lasted almost 2 years. I would say that the "Devotional Tour" was just as big and wild as SlipKnot's "intoxicated and hateful" "Iowa World Tour" was.

Note: All of the videos from Japan. And these videos had played in Taiwan TV in 1980-1991, and they are come from Beta or VHS.

Years ago, there was a program that ran on PBS stations in between shows called Stargazer. Not only was the program informative, but it featured a haunting, mesmerizing theme song. Only recently did I find out the source of that theme was Japanese composer Isao Tomita, who was one of the pioneers of electronic/synth music.
And here is an episode of StarGazer: |
