While not trying to undermine the dangers of porn addiction and all the problems this industry carries, I genuinely think its role in society is unnecessarily demonized...
I keep seeing videos upon videos, upon videos, upon videos of so called master-psychologists saying "Porn is mind cancer, you should all find your soulmate and practice sex within a healthy stable relationship". While not wrong in principle, what would be the solution for people unable to find said partners!?!? A life of daily repression? The forceful elimination of the sexual instinct? It's especially infuriating when they criticize masturbation... So what's the idea...if you can't find a partner for 15 years, you should avoid any sexual release for all that time? Good luck... I genuinely suspect lots of catholic priests masturbate secretly from time to time, even just for survival. If you're lucky enough to have attained a satisfying romantic relationship with an other person, more pwer to you! But don't fucking demonize people who have to employ compromise solutions (case in point, porn). A bunch of hypocrits...
