All I attempted to do in response to the OP's question was to provide an honest and insightful opinion of a clitoral hood piercing. Because I have one and offer good advice.

* Chronic infection

* Prolonged bleeding

* Scarring

* Hepatitis B and C (which can be fatal)

* Tetanus

* HIV (although there are no documented cases of this)

* Skin allergies to the jewelry that's used

* Abscesses or boils (infected cysts that form under your skin at the site of the piercing, which you may have to have drained with needles)

* Permanent holes

If one is responsible and takes care of what they have done to their body. All is well, I differ on your opinion.

My own opinion: If it were me (it's the same for a man or a woman in the light that I am casting...) I would make that decision based on what my most immediate friends and intimate lover(s) are into. If I were involved in a group of people (men and women) who all had piercings and such, I'd do it -- why not? They would be my support group and I sure would never feel left out! On the other hand, if the group of friends and my lover(s) were NOT into this sort of thing, there is the risk that they wouldn't understand this and might even walk away from the relationship... If something bad were to happen like a health issue for example, there would not be the support group there to help you in a time of need. You would be all alone -- very possibly... So, I'd do the homework and decide upon the results of that study... Good luck either way...

i just wanted to weigh in on this convo and give a different perspective since there are so many people going against what could or could not become the best thing you ever did, i do apologize if this is an old thread, but i just wanted to put in my 2cents on the subject...

ive been with three different girls that have had their clit pierced, two of which removed them, one had it pierced again, and the other had it done twice, and never removed it ever.

but every time ive ever talked with them about it they always say that if you can endure the few weeks of pain (some less for some, some more for others) that it will encompass the best sex youve ever had. you wont be able to stop playing with it, and from what i was told, certain ones can even give you orgasms by just sitting down and crossing your legs. personally i think its EXTREMELY hot, but im also someone that likes piercings and tattoos, etc...

i have heard of cases where it does desensitize you, and not saying that it never comes back, but i was explained that if you do become desensitized all you have to do is remove it. which is what one of my ex's did, she still had feeling down there, and it just came back after a while of not having it in...we still had spectacular sex afterward, and honestly, i didnt see any difference except that it wasnt there anymore.

if you do decide to do it, be responsible and read up on the things you need to do to keep it clean, and free from snagging...i could only imagine the amount of pain that would cause...i speak of it only because i used to have an eyebrow ring...and if that hurts, then, well...lol.
