Oron just re-billed
A month ago I went premium with oron. Now it's time for the 1 month premium to end they automatically re-billed me and I didn't even want it or ask for it. I emailed their support but haven't heard back yet. Has anyone here had the same problem? I've searched on the site and can't find anywhere where it says you will automatically be re-billed if you don't tick a box and I can't find anything like that. I'm kinda freakin out over it. |

Hi tipi,
This from the Moron website: "What are the available payment methods? Two payment methods are available right now. Pay Pal and Credit Card. If you wish to use Pay Pal be aware that it only 30 days subscription can be recurring. All other types of membership (90 days, 180 days, 1 year) are one time payments. If you use your credit card you can do both one time and recurring payments, if you choose to sign up for a subscription plan that renews automatically." "How do your subscriptions work? When you sign up for one of the subscription plans that we have available, we automatically charge the subscription fee according to the subscription plan schedule. For example, if you choose a monthly subscription you will be charged after each month passes, if you choose a weekly plan, you will be charged after each week passes, unless you cancel your subscription. You will never have to worry about your premium account expiring." "How can I cancel my subscription? If you paid via PayPal, you need to know that we allow 1 month subscriptions via PayPal to be recurring. You do not need to cancel your subscription if it is not 1 month membership. All other PayPal transactions (90 days, 180 days, 1 year) are one time only purchases. To change or cancel your agreement with Oron.com, log in to your PayPal account, go to your Profile page and click My Preapproved Payments and do it from there." I would suggest you ditch exploitative services such as Moron and Vilesonic, and in fact refrain to paying anything to anyone...

I have the same problem with Filesonic. Cancelled my acct. 2 months ago AND cancelled the reoccuring payment with paypay as well and last 2 months Filesonic billed me thru paypal. I filled out a report with paypal asking them to look into the issue 2 weeks ago and have yet to hear back from them so there is some serious BS going on with paypal and this reoccuring billing.

Oh great sounds like next month I'll be doing the same. Is there anyone else out there who had issues after they cancelled the first time?

Do you use a credit card to make PayPal payments? If yes, then you could go that way.

Word of caution about chargebacks...try and work it out with the charging company first before you go down that route as there can be serious consequences
I did one back in 2006 when over charged and am now blacklisted worldwide with most major billing companies ie ibill etc have tried to make them see reason even saying I'd pay back the chargeback but no response.Have since learned unless your issue is for USD100 or more your not likely to get any attention.Call centre customer service 21st style Taught me one valuable lesson...never sign up to anything unless you can turn the auto-rebill off on the billers website. Read the FAQS/TOS word for word before signing up I joined countless sites with the major billers safe in the knowledge that the same day i joined the auto-rebill was cancelled |
