Standing rule is that Vip's are notified when dead links are found.
However the volume of post checking in open threads can daunting. Once checked it can take awhile for older threads to be re-checked entirely. Reporting dead links by all members is huge help to staff. It can take a while in some intances but we should all be responible for our own threads, and posts. Which reminds me, I have whole TV series to re-up....crap! And no, rule 15 is fine as is. If you knew how many PM's go out now on a daily basis you'd faint. Some days it feels like all you do- write. PM's. If I wrote a PM everytime I cleaned a thread.... no.

I would change these things,
-change forum language from english to german -ban Megaporn -ban all IP's from East-Europe -set pop and rap music to the banned content list -every post must include a Rapidshare link -kick out the "1995 rule" for full movies and i would ban the following members:.....,..........,.......and ........... ! |

Alexora, to be honest when I modded...
Sure I sent a few PM's about dead links to mods and some VIP's but not many. My opinion is everybody wants the point's or cash for the downloads, but most don't want to reload the dead pics or links when they're down. There's a lot of posting, but no "post maintenance." When I was cleaning a thread, if the pic host or link was permanently dead, it was gone. Hell, you can still find 50,000 posts with permanently dead pics (filecloud, ipic.ru..etc.) Basically, us having to remind people their links are dead reduces us to being secretaries. IMO. About once a month, I go through all my RS links to check for dead ones, Anything I want to save gets reloaded, anything I don't...I get deleted. I can name about twenty VIP's alone who never bother keeping up with their posts, and about 2,000 "senior" members who don't either. Member's links, member's rewards, member's responsibility to keep them up. Plus DO is right...PATM modding is a bitch, and we seldom have/had (in my case) time to babysit. I am somebody's Mom, just not theirs. P.S. I may not be purple anymore but I still use "we" when talking about Mods. |

I may never be a mod, but from now on I will use the word "we" when talking about mods.

Intimidating? The intent of my sig is to be anything but intimidating. Are you easily intimidated? Pardon me for trying to be a bit creative. At least I have a sig...

Yours is a good sig: I have nothing against it. I meant that it alone isn't enough to help members do things right.

Just what the f++k would I do?
I would immediately ban all the extortionate file hosts - at the top of my list would be depositfiles.com and storageto.com. Consumers of adult material are already ripped off at every stage of the game without having to endure the tactics employed by these mercenary bastards. You would think that forum members would appreciate this and not lodge their files with them...
