Trial and error is the best way, from my experience. Adobe Cloud's only cloud aspect is the installation, it comes from there, rest of the software is physical.

What I do
Personally I go on to youtube and have a look. Just type in what i want to do and da daaaa it's there. Follow someone doing it, then i generally get the idea.
Like a lot of people, instructions go out of the window and the hammer comes out.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned youtube as a resource for learning. It's where I learned Android programming and some basic photoshop skills such as swapping faces or changing a background. From that, I played around with the various tools and if I wanted to know how to use a particular tool, I looked it up on google.

Photoshop is an excellent and powerful outlet for creativity. The more time you spend with it the better understanding you'll have of how it works.
I'd go crazy without my PS, InDesign, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver. I have nights where it'll be 3 or 4 am and an idea will pop into my head and I'll be infront of the computer trying to hammer it out. |

"http://photoshoplady.com/photoshop-tutorial/" Now if you're a total beginner, here are the few things that will help you a lot: Open photoshop then: File>new You'll get this, then press "ok" You'll get this: Press the icon inside the red circle to create a new layer, then select the new layer to draw do things on it, like with a brush, like this: You can also add filters on it, by clicking on "fx", circled in green: If you want to change size, proceed like this: If you want to change hue, saturation, etc ... If you want to export everything, do this: PS: Draw/paste your elements on different layers, like celluloid sheets technic used in cartoons To merge layers for wahtever reason, see options available at the bottom of the "layer" drop down menu You can also change your document size by going, image>Canvas Size For a beginner and daily basic usage, that's pretty much all you need EDIT: You'll also need to play with this menu, it's the blend/fusion mode for your layer |

The fastest way to learn PS is how badly do you want to paste that pic of a friend/neighbor on a porn star's body? Motivation brings the mad skills.
