Books 4 & 5 introduce many more, in my opinion the more characters the better.
How do you post spoilers on here? i can't seem to find a spoiler tag |

The large amount of characters and stories is the thing that's so attractive about this show in my opinion (apart from the nudity, of course). So many other shows drag their feet with one storyline and only a few side issues, but with this one, you get the struggle of many sides with no bias. And if other people are like me, you care about all of these stories to an extent. It's a refreshing way to go about it.
Take Jon Snow for example-- his story is one that would've either been the main plot or just mentioned in passing on any other format, but yet his story is being told equal to that of King Joffrey and Robb Stark. It doesn't seem to bear any affect on the race for the Iron Throne, nor does the story or Arya or Bran Stark, but it's a story worth telling. That's what makes it so valuable, and it makes this world all the more accessible. Use the hide tag like I did above-- it's basically the same thing. |

Very true I think GOT has benefited from the mistakes made by LOST,Heroes etc which were essentially the guinea pigs when it came to using multiple main characters. Even given the 20/20 hindesight I know of a few who loathe certain GOT segments because of the main character - theres no pleasing some people. As long as the author is involved with the show then the story being told in the right way has a chance. Will be interesting to see how long it actually runs for - i'm thinking well past when it ends is first run on HBO but repeats etc One of the few series that I will actually buy the box sets to not withstanding easy access to downloads initially |

Lost and Heroes had large ensamble casts but tried to keep all their secrets until the end and irritated fans. They showed us lots of questions but rarely answered them, instead they just kept giving us more questions and then tried to tell us everything at the end. To me thats bad storytelling.
GOT puts the story right out there and it unfolds by giving us some questions, then aswering those questions and then giving us some new questions and rinse and repeat. |

I have no problems with the amount of storylines. The story of Jon Snow and Arya are my favourite parts.

Mine too. I also like the storyline with the paralyzed son, and of course I also like the Danny storyline with her dragons. The thing I most want to see in GOT is Geofrey die a horrible and paindul death. I can't stand that fucker. The young actor that plays him does a great job.

The song made me feel like I was watching the ending to a True Blood chapter . If the subtitles I downloaded are to be trusted, that song was actually played during the credits, but this version somehow got the song hastened by about 20 seconds.

This problem was reported by many people, the version to watch would be Game of Thrones S03E03 PROPER HDTV x264-2HD where the error was fixed.
