More with porn sites. Now that I've got a 4k monitor I noticed some sites upscale 1080p content to 4k and call it real 4k. I'm getting a suspicion the mad cheddar sites (tushy, blacked, etc) do this. Wondering if anyone has noticed the same.

I don't know much about the technical details, but there's some really shitty "HD" out there. Fake HD. Like Jeff5 m0deI5, the image has the same grainy quality as scenes shot ten years ago (I'm talking about new scenes). And in Tr@ns AngeI5 scenes, it looks like someone smeared the camera lense with vaseline.

I have noticed this to these scenes are just 1080p scenes that are like 14k bitrate when real 1080p is like 10k bitrate

Yeah, I'm 100% this is the case now. Blew up frames from 4k and 1080p versions of new and old videos. They look exactly the same. Maybe a tiny tiny difference in 4k quality due to the bitrate but this improvement is not noticeable when watching the video. Really a shame for a site that supposedly prides itself on quality.
