Hopefully that's not a super-recent picture of Taker - more than his being bald, his absolute lack of size or definition in the arm is eye-catching. I can't imagine him going into Mania in that shape.
And for the Most Overrated question from a page ago: sorry, Edge fans, but for me it's him. I don't think of him as an all-time great, so him having that many title reigns is shocking to me. He had some good matches & angles, but for me, the things that I didn't like about him out-numbered the positive. |

DAY 16 - The moment you marked out like never before
Last edited by Alan Kellerman; 26th March 2012 at 18:56.
This is easy I saw him get thrown off a cell, put through the cell, lose part of his ear, the guy put his body through so much for the sake of us all. Did I ever think he would win the WWF title ? HELL NO. Mankind did not hold the title for that long, pretty much the same as the lifetime achievement I said about Captain Charisma. It didn't matter though, what mattered is that he finally got it, he got what he deserved. When it happened, I was running around my room like a maniac screaming yes like Daniel Bryan. I really lost the plot. The crowd was unglued as well. Today you are lucky if I can stay awake In terms of ''marking out'' ( I fucking hate those terms. mark, smark and mark out ) I'm a wrestling fan damn it. but anyway. I've seen better matches, hot angles and everything since then . Nothing has ever compared to the feeling I got when Mankind beat The Rock for his first WWF title. It was almost up there with losing my virginity. Fuck you Tony Schiavone and Eric Bischoff. |

I'm going to have to go back and read the "Question of the Day" questions that I missed ... it's a pretty cool idea.
My biggest "mark out" moment is an easy one - when Foley was thrown off the HITC cage, it was (literally) the only time I ever jumped up & said "holy shit" out-loud at a wrestling spot or bump. Honorable mention would probably be when Flair won the Royal Rumble in 1992; I was watching it with friends (all of us were NWA-fans more than WWF-fans) and we were all so certain that Hogan would eliminate Flair to win ... but then Sid did what he did, and Hogan (who we all hated) did what he did ... and Flair won! |

Shawn Michaels kicked out of the Tombstone at Wrestlemania 25
For the time, there wasn't a lot of false finishers in wrestling, that I know of. Since this match, the amount of false finishers has been overwhelmingly large for some reason. To the point where some aren't legit finishers anymore, they always kick out of it. Jeff's Swanton, Twist of Fate; Kurt Angle's Angle Slam. Those 3 have always been the top offenders, that I hardly consider them legit finishers anymore. Unless I'm told Jeff, for example, needs to hit 2 Swantons and 3 TOFs to win. The beauty of Undertaker's Tombstone, and other finishers was that it meant the end. Doing it since 1990, and this was 2009. So nearly 19 years of it being the final nail in someone's coffin. Here comes HBK, and he kicked out of it. I saw Wrestlemania 25 in an online stream, crappy quality, small video resolution. However, the moment of him kicking out was so strong that I couldn't help but jump out of my chair, and yell out loud, "WHAT," when I could've disturbed relatives. For that moment, I ignored that thought. It just went to show how well both men took fans on a ride, which is probably the most important part of a wrestling match. To get fans involved, and take them for a ride. With those two, it was more important than the amount of moves and technique added to a wrestling match. That's a match every young guy should study, instead of trying to come up with an original move, or trying the riskiest move. |

After all the hyping tonight (basically a 3 hour infomercial for WM) all I can say is the Rock and Cena better put on the match of their lives this sunday. If they don't deliver (and the HHH/UT match ends up some kind of a screwjob so HHH can get over on the UT) everyone will be seriously pissed.

Raw was alright, typical go home show. Rock and Cena doing the final sell for the biggest match of all time!

Bryan getting the win against Sheamus in the tag match, history has told me not to get my hopes up for a Bryan at Wrestlemania ( I know there has been a couple of exceptions) I'm still rooting for him. David Otunga's entrance is getting more extreme as each week goes by. John Laurinaitis with a most excellent botch. Miz is on team Johnny, what a surprise. Booker T is the final member of team Long. They could do worse, I suppose. The Jericho promo before the match punk vs christian march was the usual, now we find out that Punk is a bastard. Punk goes mental and kills Christian. No mercy!! Good stuff. When is Brodus Clay going to do something different? Curt Hawkins was the victim (again) Big Show letting the Colon's know their role, surely Show has to beat Cody on Sunday. My Money is on Cody. I don't really care for Randy Orton vs Kane or that diva tag team match, I'm sure Orton vs Kane will be ok, but I think Orton got screwed. |

Why isn't Clay on Long's team instead of a retired guy? I like Clay and his gimmick. But start putting him against competent opponents and not one sided squashes. Wonder what Hawkins did to go from tag team champ to being a jobber against the big guy?
I'm hoping Bryan loses this sunday. You can only get cheap heel wins like he did just so often and then there has to be a good guy win. Hopefully Sheamus gets the belt this weekend. |

The Rock should've mentioned more about building the WWE for John Cena. I saw how annoyed Cena looked when he mentioned it, damn he should've said more. but looking forward to the match. And the rock shouldve mentioned how Brock Lesnar whooped cena's ass at backlash n on smackdown. it wouldve pissed him off more.
