ROH is all alien to me. I didn't have a problem with the Jericho promo about making Punk drink. My mate asked me if Jericho is going to bring a six pack to the ring with him?
Jericho plays the creepy villain so well. |

the most underrated wrestler is Jack Swagger

Day 6 - Favorite finishing hold of all time? I did listen to the Promo, Seven Churches. Could you picture anything like that in WWE? It's too real. I like CM Punk, I still prefer Jericho. This is perfect to get Punk his big Wrestlemania win (that isn't money in the bank). It obviously wont get too extreme, but Jericho is an asshole, he is one of the only wrestlers still around that can make me want to see him get his ass kicked. I know it wont happen, but it would be nice if Jericho won, and he made Punk drink. To see Jericho over selling to the maximum while he forces Punk to drink the alcohol. aww it would be great. |

My favorite finishing move was The Frankensteiner From The Top Rope by Scott Steiner. It was an impressive high flying finisher long before anyone else did anything like that and NO ONE got up from it.

Here is one Scott did last year in a TNA PPV. It was much more impressive 20 years ago when he was a young buck tag teaming with his brother Rick: |

Judging by the crowd reaction, the fans were more into CM Punk after hearing the truth about his father. Now he has some sympathy, and he's more down to earth than before. I read stuff of him being criticized for having a Jesus Complex. If it's "too real," that's what CM Punk loves. Speaking of which, I personally wouldn't like it if he was forced to drink alcohol. I was disgusted when R-Truth dumped liquor and cigarettes, and pills on Punk years ago. If anything, this makes CM Punk winning a bigger possibility. Aside from MITB, he hasn't had a real Wrestlemania moment. Conquering the evil Chris Jericho would be something to remember. Personally, either man winning is fine with me. On another note, Jericho's jacket is still ridiculous. He even tweeted that it malfunctioned.
My favorite finishing hold is the Tombstone Piledriver, done famously by Undertaker. The best finishing holds are those that actually meant the end. Not only are they designed to be the end, but they look like it could actually hurt. In Undertaker's case, it looks like it would hurt. Yet the man hasn't been reported to have injured guys with that move. It's a Piledriver after all, those things are dangerous. It means the end so much, that when someone kicks out of it, it makes for a major moment in time. Shawn Michaels, when he kicked out of the Tombstone in WM25, that was probably the greatest single "mark out" moment I ever had. It meant that Shawn was a little more determined. Plus, it defines Undertaker. It's called the Tombstone, might as well be buried, because the match ends right there. This is a good second... |

I think of the promo and wonder how much it would have to be watered down, maybe drop pills and concentrate on alcohol. I shouldn't compare a WWE promo to anywhere else, you can't go as far.
I'm pretty certain that the bad guy is going down at Wrestlemania, if anybody is drinking, it will be Jericho, perhaps Punk will have a Pepsi while Jericho cries in the corner. |

For my vote, I've got to go with the Jackhammer. It's one hell of a power move compared to all the simplistic shock value finishers out there. |

I'm glad no one is mentioning the Stone Cold Stunner or Flair's figure 4, the 1st one is just ridiculous that that would knock people out the way it does (not to mention how often its botched) and the second one gets reversed on Flair often or guys grab the ropes and Flair has to break the hold.
Best finishers should be a hold that literally destroys the opponent so he can't continue and is also so cool the crowd pops big time ("HOLY SHIT DID YOU SEE THAT"?). |

Scott Steiner did things that were out of the ordinary to me, in 1990 I was used to the bodyslam, headlock and leg drop. The first big move I ever seen was the normal frankensteiner. Probably the first holy shit moment. Scott was my favorite wrestler back in the early 90's, Bret was the top guy in WWF and was the excellence of execution, but he was not as explosive.

This is my favorite, it was posted here a while back. The Steiner Screwdriver. It's one of those moves you repeat again and again, if you're a button bashing video game player. It should be instant fatality. speaking of the figure four, I liked it, but I see what you mean about it getting reversed, the figure four Bret did around the ring post was effective looking. |
