Entombed - Left Hand Path

Often considered the crown jewel of Swedish death metal, and rightly so. It's one of those albums that lives up to all its reputation. Fucking love it. The guitar tone is just perfect.

Death - Individual Thought Patterns (1993)
Death Metal/Progressive Metal

The last Death album I could get into and possibly their best album ever depending on who you ask of course (Personally I like Leprosy and Spiritual Healing the best). I also gave in and ordered the 2011 Relapse records remaster of this which I'm told sounds 10 times better than the original mp3 cd rip I currently have.

Vital Remains - Icons of Evil

Despite being longer than its predecessor Dechristianize, this album feels a lot shorter due to it just being so much better. Where as the former bores me, this one just has so many great riffs and awesome lead sections that it's very enjoyable. It's as if Dechristianize was the test run, and Icons was the full potential in action. I've really grown to love this record. Dave Suzuki is definitely one of the finest guitarists in metal.

Awesome cover art, too.

The guy who helps me with roofing has a 4 foot by 4 foot replicate of that album cover in his game room it looks unreal when it's blown up that big.

Symbolic will always be my favorite. Perfect combination of Human and ITP.

I ordered the limited edition Leprosy re-release but the post office fucked it up and I still haven't received it even though they put it as "delivered" on the tracking info. Going to give them hell tomorrow. From now on I am requiring a signature at delivery to keep those assholes in check.
