Nocturnus - The Key 1990 This is actually my first time listening to the band, which I regret since it's fucking awesome. Death metal from Florida, but probably the most innovative from that whole scene. They do the whole sci-fi/cosmic sort of thing, which I believe is the earliest it was done in death metal. Combine that vibe, with extremely fast and complex riffage and, well.. you get the idea. Awesome cover art too. Great shit.

Baphomet - The Dead Shall Inherit 1992 Talk about fucking riffs. There's so much riffy goodness on here to make Tony Iommi do a double check. An awesome bass presence as well, with a lot of trade-off sections. Great stuff.
