Heel = bad guy (Shredder, Lex Luthor, Mark Henry, Kane etc) Babyface = good guy ( Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Superman, John Cena, Sheamus etc) A push is the wrestler's position on the card. Say Cena for instance, if somebody asked me about his push, I'd say he is getting pushed to the moon, he is always in the main event. If somebody asked me about Kofi Kingston, I'd say he has no push to speak of. He is stuck in midcard and it doesn't look like he will move any higher. edit ** damn you Seven Churches Just kidding, I'm glad you posted that because I was having trouble describing a push . The words wouldn't come to me. |

The reason I mentioned Turtles and Shredder, I was listening to an audio and the guy was describing how a top babyface gets used compared to a top heel . He said the top babyface gets booked like the Turtles and the top heel gets booked like bebop and rocksteady, the heel never gets the better .
Was pretty funny listening to him rant . |

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I'm modding General Porn and Graphics. Graphics may be a temporary thing, though, being that I'm mainly covering for Alina as SOTW host. |

As far as referencing Shredder when describing a heel, it actually works well because as we all know, in the second Turtles movie, there is the character SuperShredder, played by none other that Kevin Nash! I think of wrestling as alot of things. I think of it as a sport since these men and women are going out there and putting their lives in the hands of one another every day, but it's also an art form. I mean who here can't recognize a great match as compared to one that stinks out the joint? It takes an artist to be able to read the crowd, understand what they want, what they don't want. To be able to pull of the moves they do and make it look good and not like complete garbage. |
